Fan & TEC Cooling Module: Unlike other cooling systems that simply use fans for heat dissipation, SMALLRIG camera external cooling system uses a high-efficiency fan with a TEC semiconductor cooling module to quickly cool the camera and more effectively alleviate the problem of camera overheating.
Easy to Use: The camera radiator adopts snap-on mounting design, which can be quickly disassembled and assembled. Built-in intelligent temperature control design, the cooling system automatically adjusts the cooling system power according to the temperature of the contact surface between the cooling system and the camera. It can be used with or without a cage.
Recommended Pairing: The camera cooling system is compatible with SMALLRIG V-mount Battery Plate 4064B / 4063B, and can be used with SMALLRIG V-mount Battery 4292 / 4823 / 3580 / 3579 for worry-free heat dissipation and power supply.
Notes: 1. If you need to store the LCD screen, please remove the cooling system first. 2. When the radiator is working, do not block the air inlet or outlet. 3. When the camera is not working, do not use the radiator to continue to dissipate heat. 4. When not using the radiator, press and hold the power switch for about 2 seconds to enter standby mode or unplug the power cord to turn off the power. 5. This product does not have a built-in battery and requires external power supply to work.

Supercool. Seriously. It’s Super Cool
I’ve had a lot of problem with my Sony cameras overheating. Over the years, I’ve used the ZV-E10, the a6300, the FX30, and now an a6700. The FX30s have built-in fans, but they still easily overheat. The a6700 is my newest camera and I want to use it as a B-cam for marketing videos. This SmallRig cooler pops right in with a bracket. It fits well and seems like it won’t come loose. I even shook the camera pretty good and it wouldn’t move. The metal build looks durable. As others have mentioned, it’s more than just a simple fan. It also has a cooling device which actually cools the plate of the unit. Very slick. And the fan is very quiet. I’m very happy with this device, and I may try to use it with the FX30 as well.

Works great for my R5 mark II
Why did you pick this product vs others?:This fan is using a physical cooling mechanism, it cools my camera during summer months. The fan requires an external power source to turn it on. So you will need figure out a way to charge it when you use it, like a battery, your phone, or external battery. But it is still cheaper than the official fan of r5 mark II.Â

Good for a7iv, minor critiques
I have never had issues with my Sony a7iv overheating before, but I got this because I was planning on shooting some higher profile clients. This fan is silent and does an excellent job. My camera hardly gets warm since installing this. If you have issues with overheating, I would definitely recommend this product for its value. The multiple available modes help you tune it to your scenario as well.My main critiques are I wish it was slightly tighter in the camera. I havenât had it slide out yet, but I sometimes question its fit. It feels like it may pop out if I set the camera down too hard. I also wish the included USB-C cable had right angles on both ends of the cable. This would make it fit better in my rig with my v-mount battery.

Increased the Sony a6700 recording time from 40mins at 4k60 to 1hr and 30mins +
Probably one if not the best investment Iâve made for my Sony a6700. I used to use the usbC out at 1080p60. And it ran fairly well without overheating. But when I tried to output 4k30 via usbC it overheated after 40mins⦠I tried to use the hdmi out at 1080p60 and that still over heated at around 50minsâ¦Now I stream at 4k60 using the Elgato 4k X capturing the full 4k60. And when I added this fan. I went for about 1hr and 30mins and there wasnât even a warning of overheating. This product did the job perfectly and left me with excess overhead. (I usually live stream for about 1hr and 20mins). Iâm very happy with the purchase. Great job creating this product.

Plastic mount – donât waste your money
The overheating issue with the Sony A7IV pushed me to look for cooling fan options. I first bought the Ulanzi fan, which mounts onto the camera using a spring-loaded bracketâit worked great. Then I got curious about what SmallRig had to offer and ordered this one.First of all, unlike the Ulanzi, this SmallRig fan only has one cooling speed and no built-in battery. The cooling itself is powerfulâthe back plate that touches the camera gets ice-cold within a minute.But the mounting system? Itâs plastic garbage. It broke on the first day. Without the included adapter to mount it to the camera, this fan is useless.Iâm now going to try the SmallRig fan thatâs specifically designed for the Sony A7IV and uses a metal mounting clip. Hoping I can get a refund for this junk.

Kühlt sehr gut, zumindest den Rücken von der Kamera.Aber in der Sonne stürzt die a6700 trotzdem ab.Da merkt man egal wie sehr man sie hinten kühlt, ist diese Kamera für solche Verhältnisse nicht konzipiert.Ein Akku wäre vorteilhaft gewesen, deshalb nur 4 Sterne aber ansonsten, top Produkt.

He podido usar durante algunas semanas este ventilador de SmallRig y debo decir que me ha salvado la vida en más de un rodaje. Soy fotógrafo y videógrafo profesional, y en mi equipo de trabajo cuento con una Sony FX30, pero en ocasiones si necesito grabar a dos cámara, uso la Sony a6700, que en HD cumple sin calentarse, pero en 4K se me apaga siempre alrededor de los 40 minutos de grabación. Al acoplar el ventilador, he podido alargar la duración de la grabación en más de una y dos horas seguidas sin notar ningún calentamiento extra. Por el rendimiento que he observado, estoy seguro de que puede grabar bastantes más horas sin ningún tipo de calentamiento ni miedo de que se apague.Aunque tiene dos modos de funcionamiento, no he necesitado en ningún momento utilizar el modo más potente del ventilador, ni en mi a6700, ni en una Sony a7IV (donde estuve grabando durante 5 horas en 4K de forma intermitente). El acople a las cámaras se hace con una pestaña que hace clic en la parte de atrás de la cámara, es muy sencillo, y no parece que vaya a holgarse con el tiempo.En general me parece un buen producto, hecho con materiales de buena calidad y que cumple sobradamente con su función. Un básico si tienes cámaras sin espejo pequeñas y quieres grabar en 4K al máximo de calidad sin miedo de sobre calentamientos.Recomendable totalmente
