Nice helmet
Bought this for my nine year old who outgrew his previous one for flag football. Not everyone wears helmets but I figured it would protect him from accidental head bumps and what not. This one was a little different in that it has the ties in the back where is older one did not. Was worried that this would be bothersome to him, It was not and he likes it and does not even notice the back laces. He did an initial fit with the laces and now just slips in on and it is comfortable. Also, his previous helmet did not have a recessed ear hole/cavity as this one. Son says he can notice that and is more comfortable with it.Size is hard to gauge, after measuring son’s head, we were kind of in the middle of the two sizes so we erred for the smaller one. I believe these will stretch with usage and the back laces gives you some adjustability.Was looking for a headband type helmet this go around but it seems those are more expensive than the full helmets. Didn’t want to spend a lot due to the relatively short season and him growing out of it after one season with no one to pass it down to.

Ordered this for grandson as it or something similar was required for 7 on 7 football. He says it was comfortable, lightweight and good quality. Will purchase again.

Works well but needs off gassing
It’s a good fitting helmet with laces in the back and velcro closure. It’s enough foam but not too thick. I wear a beanie over it in winter. The PE foam is eye wateringly smelly, thus the 4 stars. I washed, soaked, and washed again. Then left it out in the sun for over a week, turning it over daily.
