Great Sound Quality and ability to hear Voices with easy connectivity
Great overall product..brings easy, very high quality, sound to television where you don’t have a fully-wired surround sound system. Another great feature is the Voice mode which further enhances voice separation in an era where TV speaks mash all of the sound channels together and you are always trying to understand what the heck people are saying! Great app support for fine tuning with night mode and excellent wireless connectivity make this an excellent sound solution for today’s emaciated television speakers.

Hearing Impaired… Totally Impressed
Upgraded my living room Bravia TV recently, so wanted to upgrade from the Vizio 2.1 system I was using. This system was a great choice. I’m a bit hard of hearing, so the Voice feature improved vocals… loud and clear. The Sound Field feature is well balanced and capable of shaking the rafters. Only downside is having the subwoofer tethered directly to the soundbar. Would prefer it being Wireless and placing it further away from the TV, but that’s a small inconvenience. Otherwise, the system was a breeze to install and works perfectly… highly recommend!

Positves and Negatives
Watching TV is where this soundbar really shines. Voices are clear and understandable, probably due to the center channel speaker. That feature also makes music playback heavy in the vocals and midrange which sounds somewhat unbalanced. The music playback also lacks presence but I have to remember this is just a soundbar. I’ve had mid price point Samsung soundbars and wasn’t happy with the Bass, this Bass is good and at higher volumes can get loud. If you like a lot of Bass you won’t be disappointed. The setup with my Sony TV was easy and the app works well. I do have a problem playing MP3 files on my Windows 11 laptop although my Windows 10 laptop plays those files fine. I called support and they recommended I wait for an update as this is a new product, not really a good response. If you want really good sound it appears you would have to spend $1000 or more. For the money, I think this one is on par or slightly above others in this price range.Update – I have moved the sub next to the soundbar from the side of the room. This has improved the sound quality, a little less bass but improved the midrange balance. Forgot to mention, this integrates very well with my Sony TV and setup was easy. I would buy it again.

Awesome System!
This system is amazing! Completely recommend! I purchased this to replace a Polk system and it has not disappointed. Great sound at all levels and makes a complete viewing experience. Thumbs up!! I bought the recommended speaker stands, however the Sony speaker wires do not disconnect so you are unable to feed the speaker wires through the stand. *speaker plug does not fit inside stand hole either, so beware.I completely recommend this surround system, if you enjoy theater syle movie watching or listening to music.

Full rich sound
This system shook the furniture when I first turned it on. I really like the rich sound from this system. I purchased during Amazon days and it is definitely worth the price.

I can understand the voice narrative, finally!
This replaces a smaller Samsung Sound Bar that simply didn’t help. I have bad hearing, and for the first time now, I don’t need to turn on captions! App works great on iPhone and iPad… they still need to create the App for MacBook Pro. Great Sound!!!

Soundbar Uses a Short, Proprietary Cable to Connect to Subwoofer to get Power
While the audio quality may be good, you should be aware of an extremely limiting factor: The sound bar must be hardwired into the subwoofer to get power. There is no AC power option for the soundbar, it uses a proprietary cable to connect with the subwoofer. This cable is too short for my setup, and thus I have to return it. Quite frustrating, there should be an AC power option for the soundbar!

Movie and music lover who knows good sound (music producer, but not a snob). The Theater 6 provides mediocre sound with limited soundstage. Yes, it’s a soundbar and I don’t expect miracles, but for $650 I’ll echo many other reviewers: this piece of Sony gear is overpriced for what it is and for the lack of features (wifi, Spotify Connect one HDMI). Yes, it’s MUCH better than any TV speaker, but not enough to warrant $600+. There are better options out there with higher quality sound (mids, highs, bass, surround implementation). The Sony appeared to compress everything through the center channel with basic separation for sfx. Bass was middling – not enough to wake up the neighbours, but a dull rumble that was always present – even during dialog. Wish you best of luck!
