Replaced my original 30+ year old switch that had started to fail
Iâm no plumber and was a bit nervous replacing this myself as there was no valve between the pipe coming in the house from the well and the switch. I cut power to the well pump and started to remove the old switch. Sure enough water started coming out. It was only the water that was in the pipe from the well, not much maybe a gallon tops. Clean up wasnât a big deal.Once the switch was installed, I turned the power back on. The good thing was that I did not have to adjust the switch, in fact it was set up nicer than the original. Should you need to adjust the switch there are directions in the box and plenty of videos on line.I was hesitant to buy a switch at a lower price by an unfamiliar company. I have no complaints, this switch should last until the next homeowner has to replace it.

Works great.

Works as expected
Works as it should. Old original unit had sediment built up in the diaphragm causing low pressure and the pump to short cycle. Took about 15 min to replace. Pressure and range are adjustable. It’s been 2wks, I’ll update if I have a problem.

It’s not Square D brand
I purchased this because it stated it was the Square D brand. It works, I will use it but I was choosing Square D for quality. I could have purchased a non square d for considerably less money on Amazon.

Back in Business
It is quality Sq D. However, every well pump should stock a ‘backup’.

Is Sqaure D but branding is changing.
Apparently Schneider Electric is rebranding their Square D flow switches and they appear to be outsourced manufacturing to Telecomunique. The Pumptrol name still is stamped on the plastic cover but instead of the Square D logo you get the Telecomunique stamped on it. The initial documentation said Telecomunique as does the box but inside the switch was the Schneider documentation. This was very misleading as I was expecting a square D. It took research online as well as checking other sites like Granger Homedepot and Lowes for references.
