Tactacam 6.0 The Good/Bad
If you are looking for a very basic, easy to operate, “ok” video quality action camera then this is for you. If you want excellent video quality and low light capability then steer clear of the Tactacam 6.0. I owned the 5.0 for three years until it simply wouldn’t turn on anymore, so I purchased the 6.0. The video quality is acceptable, but not awesome. It is best for close shots (shorter than 100yrds) and plenty of light. I like the ability to quickly stream video to my phone to determine where I hit a deer, gain more info on the shot I made.

Easy to use
This camera is super easy to use. It also connects to the app very easily. ! am able to change the modes and settings either through the camera or the app. Lots of different options with this one. The image stabilization works very well from what I can see.

App does not work on Android phones
The camera itself is great, crisp clean picture, amazing image stabilization.HOWEVER, the Tactacam Connect app that is needed to control the camera settings or monitor the video in real time has not been updated in over two year and does not work with “newer Android phones”. At the time of this writing my Samsung S23 is just over 2 years old so not considered a “new” phone by any standard. In chatting with Tactacam tech support, they confirmed that the Connect app is outdated and have no ETA on an update, but more importantly the POV line of cameras is being phased out. Meaning this hardware has no manufacturer support, and the app is not likely to ever get updated.

I was skeptical. Some of the reviews, just didn’t show samples of video that had the quality I thought it should have, given the specs for the camera. The companies own promo material didn’t help much either. The features were inadequately show. However, I’m happy with the features and the quality of the videos I’ve taken so far with my tests. I haven’t used it enough to evaluate the battery life.

I bought this tactacam before turkey season this past season. The image quality is really good even in low light. Seems to be made of a good construction. My 2 complaints is it does not come with a mini sd card in the box, and no mount

Tactacam 6.0 easy setup
Install was easy and I would of given it a 5 stars for easy use, but the phone app is a bit flaky and glitches out. I am sure once things are figured out the phone app will be updated. Lining up the red dot display was a bit clumsy as you have to go into a screen where you can see what is going on. So itâs a back and forth deal. But I finally got it lined up. Not a deal breaker but cool feature.

La camara es muy buena ,pero por algun motivo a venido defectuosa y descarga las baterias sin hacer uso de la camara. Asi que tienes que sacar la bateria de la camara y ponerla cuando gravas y volver a quitar la bateria ,y asi todo el rato ,ya que descarga la bateria en apenas 30 minutos ,con la camara totalmente apagada .Al principio pensando que era un problema exclusivo de bateria me vi obligado a comprar baterias de repuesto ,y ahora tengo tres baterias que por culpa de la camara aun en plena carga solo duran unos pocos minutos gravando
