Immediately actionable advice and accountability for the career-minded individual
Kurt delivered a concise and actionable system for holding yourself accountable to doing the networking âworkâ you know you should be doing. Itâs easy for us to get in our own heads about networking. For most of us, it sounds like a yucky âsalesâ type word. Kurt breaks down an easy-to-use system that will get you talking to the people you are interested in helping. The book is to the point and can be digested during lunch breaks. Kurt sprinkles in a bit of humor here and there to keep the reader engaged. He also draws from personal experiences to back up his methods. This is not a âguruâ book. This is a book that outlines a practical approach to life-long networking. If you are a career focused individual or entrepreneur, this book has something for you.

Concise, approachable and a helpful guide for building a career network
Kurt Schimdt’s Little Book of Networking is a book I wish I could have read and applied 2 or more years ago. As a career technology introvert, I’ve learned the lessons of a network that I let atrophy due to a busy life and career and have realized the time I should have invested in nurturing meaningful network connections was a lost opportunity especially while searching for my next career opportunity. What I enjoyed about Kurt’s book is that it’s approachable and to the point. I found the book to be a quick read that outlined the “why” and then focusing on actionable steps and skills that can be immediately applied and tracked. The book has reinvigorated my approach to rebuilding my network while operating in a remote networking environment and provided me with concrete next steps that I can use to rebuild my approach and foundation to a meaningful and mutually supportive network.

You only get the most out if this book if you are willing to put in the work”It is a great, quick read for anyone interested in building their career, regardless of their career stage. It provides Actionable tactics and techniques to help you forge long lasting, authentic, professional relationships that in turn build a stronger, more effective, professional network.

Easily digestible and well written with great advice and relevant content
I was really excited when I started diving into this book. Not because of the content I was expecting, but because it’s not your typical advice book that drones on about the same point for 30 pages, but captures the essence of what really matters and gets straight into the points without boring the reader. I was able to get through it in an afternoon with plenty of time to digest his ideas and how to incorporate them into my own life. It will make for great reference material to sit on my desk the next time I’m browsing LinkedIn.The approach that Kurt offers is great. There were ideas in this book that I was already doing which helped reinforce my approach to networking, but there are also ideas I hadn’t considered which I am happy to incorporate into my networking arsenal. Kurt offers a unique perspective with examples of how to achieve them and tries to address common friction points one might encounter. The empathy he also offers is wonderful for folks who have busy lives.I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking to improve their networking skills!

Great concise information! Get one for each of your children, they don’t teach this in college.
This easy read gives you the practical information you need to move out of your comfort zone and strike up conversations about what you really intend for your career. By having these conversations you focus on building relationships that may pilot you forward and affirm your career path. Do a favor for your kids, get them this book, same for your friends and gift one to work associates too. This is something everyone can use and apply, some practical information you can put to use each day to help your career along.
