Simple, functional and accurate
I installed this last night. I checked the room temp against the setting, and it’s accurate. I like the simplicity and accuracy of it. The newer one it replaced was all over the place temp-wise. I like that this has places you can place high and low stops. It would be handy to keep anyone from setting it to 80ΓΒ° constantly. Some say the design looks dated, but once you put it on the wall, it really doesn’t.

Quality mechanical thermostat but does not anticipate
Replaced an older mechanical thermostat for a two fan-driven electrically heated room. Results:- unit says its factory calibrated, but after two days it was off 7 degrees F. Really, it was calibrated at the factory?- accuracy of the mechanical display was excellent, it matched a calibrated electronic sensor I placed on topThis unit was maintains the selected temp better than the old junk unit did.Note that the unit comes with a second insert for the temp setting dial, so you can correct for the miscalibration. I used double sided tape to install it thinking I may need to tweak it in the future.

Well made but fragile
I purchased this item to control a heater in my bathroom. I read the instructions in preparing for installations but they were wrong and I broke the cover of the thermostat trying to separate it from the switch body. I could find no means of contacting the seller. If I could have, I’d have asked just for a replacement cover. I contacted Amazon and promptly received a replacement. This is a well-made unit and in my case, I’ll set it and forget it. But do not follow the instructions for separating the cap from the body. Simply hold four leads in one hand, grip the cap with the other and the cap will easily slide right off, making for easy installation..

Heavy Duty 12GA wireing
Requires mounting on a gang box. Heavy duty 12GA wires are too much for my pellet stove wires. It is quality and sturdy if that is what you need.

REPLACED 1970’S HEATER CONTROLS WITH THESE WORKING GREAT
I HAVE AN OLDER ELECTRICAL HEATING SYSTEM AND NEEDED NEW CONTROLLERS AND THESE WORK PERFECTLY WITH THE OLDER SYSTEM. I ALSO USED ONE FOR A MODERN ELECTRICAL HEATER AND IT WORKS GREAT WITH THAT UNIT TOO. THEY ARE FAIRLY ACCURATE IN MEASURING ROOM TEMPERATURE AND TURN ON AND OFF WITH NO PROBLEMS. THANKFUL SOMEONE STILL MAKES THESE OR AT LEAST HAD THESE IN STOCK. RECOMMENDED.
