Setup was simple plug-n-play
For starters, this suited my application perfectly considering I picked it up for an older laptop with a failing internal wifi adapter, so my standards weren’t set very high. The price was perfect and came in way below the cost to replace the internal wireless chip. It connected right out of the box without the need to install drivers, and performed better than the internal adaptor ever did.The design is very sleek and low profile. I didn’t bump the adaptor once while moving the laptop around during my room-to-room signal tests. Its ability to pick up a strong or weak steady signal and hold it is great, especially since the laptop was from 2012 and naturally has slower hardware.Even tried out a little light gaming in each room and it held a connection beautifully.I’ll likely purchase another one for another older gaming laptop I have, also from 2012 with a slow internal adaptor. That way I won’t have to switch this one back and forth between setupsIf you’re looking for a cheap and steady way to connect older hardware to the net, this will get the job done and definitely gets a “would recommend” from me.I’ll add images in a few days. First time around I wasn’t able to take pictures, but I will shortly to show the level of connectivity in each room and rough distance.

Worked Well in My Laptop
I got this WiFi 6 adapter for my laptop since my built-in WiFi was struggling with speed. It worked well and boosted my connection a lot. The dual-band 2.4G and 5G bands gave me a solid signal, and I noticed faster downloads on my Windows 10 laptop, especially on the 5G band. Itâs tiny, which is great for travel, and setup was simple, just plug and play after installing the drivers. Good little adapter if you need to upgrade your laptopâs WiFi.

Perfect little USB card
Whenever I have an issue with a built-in wireless card, I typically replace it with a USB wireless card. Itâs significantly cheaper, and easier to install. This particular USB wireless card works great. Itâs about the size of your thumbnail, and barely sticks out of the USB port. Speeds are adequate, although since the antenna is fairly small, it doesnât have as wide of range as others do. However, as a workaround, it works great, especially if you donât want to pay the several hundred of dollars to replace the actual card inside the laptop. This also works great for desktop computers that donât have wireless built-in. Overall, I highly recommend this USB wireless card.

Works great!
My laptop has a physical hardware issue with the wifi card (a common issue for the card it came with, and therefore this line of laptops, unfortunately) and I really didn’t want to open up my laptop to replace it, even though my dad has experience building PCs and probably could’ve done it for me. instead I bought this little thing, and all I had to do was plug it into my laptop, disable my old wifi card from the device manager, and type in my wifi password. then I was set. occasionally the adapter will disconnect from the wifi, but it’s not very often and might just be because the adapter gets taken back and forth from my laptop to my siblings’ computer, which is really old and has a similar hardware issue. eventually we’re going to buy a second adapter so we don’t have to share. One thing, though: when in the old pc, the adapter gets really hot after a few hours. I don’t have any issues with the temperature in my laptop, but it does get nearly hot enough to burn in the other computer. it hasn’t affected its function at all though, so it’s not really a concern. Just maybe be careful if you remove the adapter from your computer.

Excellent Replacement for a Failing Adapter
The built-in Wi-Fi adapter in one of my laptops had become unreliable and would occasionally stop working for no apparent reason. I bought the TP-Link Nano adapter as a replacement.Installation was super simple. I plugged the adapter in and installed the driver software. (This laptop doesn’t have a CD drive, so I downloaded the software from the TP-Link website.) Next, I went into the laptop’s settings and disabled the internal adapter and enabled the TP-Link. I connected to my home Wi-Fi network, and I was done. The whole installation took about five minutes. This laptop only has two USB ports, so I have the TP-Link Nano plugged into a USB hub. It works fine that way and receives a strong signal from the Wi-Fi access point located two floors above it. So far, it has been running continuously without issues.I have always had good luck with TP-Link products, and this one is no different. It’s an excellent little adapter for the money, and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one should the need arise.
