TL-SG1005P is a 5 10/100/1000Mbps ports unmanaged switch that requires no configuration and provides 4 PoE (Power over Ethernet) ports. It can automatically detect and supply power with all IEEE 802.3af compliant Powered Devices (PDs). In this situation, the electrical power is transmitted along with data in one single cable allowing you to expand your network to where there are no power lines or outlets, where you wish to fix devices such as APs, IP Cameras or IP Phones, etc.
𝐅𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐆𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐭 𝟓-𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐏𝐨𝐄 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 4x PoE plus (802.3at/af) 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports providing up to 30W per port and total PoE power budget of 65W, together w/ 1x Gigabit Non-PoE Port for high-speed connections.
𝐏𝐨𝐄 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐨 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲: With PoE Auto Recovery botton on, the switch automatically detects and reboots the dropped or unresponsive PoE-powered devices without the need for manual monitoring or resetting.

Reliable and Efficient PoE Switch
This switch has been a game-changer for my network setup. With its handy features and solid build, it helped me effortlessly tackle my connectivity challenges. One standout aspect of this switch is its four PoE+ ports, which provide power to compatible devices like IP cameras and wireless access points. The 65W power supply is more than sufficient, ensuring reliable and consistent performance. Plus, the plug-and-play functionality made the installation a breeze, saving me time and hassle. The sturdy metal construction and shielded ports are worth mentioning, as they enhance durability and protect against electromagnetic interference. The fanless design keeps things quiet, which is a major plus for those seeking a noise-free environment. In terms of performance, this switch excels. The QoS (Quality of Service) feature ensures smooth data flow, preventing bottlenecks and optimizing network efficiency. Additionally, the IGMP Snooping functionality has been invaluable in managing multicast traffic, allowing for seamless streaming and video conferencing. While the switch has a lot going for it, there are a few aspects that could be improved. One limitation is the number of ports. With only five ports available, it may not be suitable for larger network setups requiring more connections. Additionally, some users have reported occasional issues with firmware updates, but I personally haven’t encountered any problems.Overall, the TP-Link TL-SG1005P V2 is a reliable and efficient PoE switch that simplifies network management. Its robust design, easy setup, and useful features make it a solid choice for small to medium-sized networks. Just keep in mind the limited number of ports if you have extensive connectivity needs.

Fasset up, high performance, great value.
Super simple to set up, and use, great value. I’m moving toward a completely TP/Link network system.

Excellent POE Network Device
Excellent product. It provides power over ethernet (POE) to the network access points. No power cable is required at each connected access point. It supports the backhaul connections for my network.

Very good POE switch
I acquired this for my home to replace a Netgear PoE switch that died and stopped delivering power. One of the things I particularly liked was the separate uplink (non-PoE) ports, which left a full 16 ports available for downlink connections. I hooked everything up, turned it on, and everything began working, including some ethernet ports that had previously not been getting power. (The specs say it supports 802.3af/at, make sure your devices are compatible.) The fan in the device makes a little bit of noise, so this is ideally placed in your basement or equipment closet, not your office. It’s also quite big, so make sure you have enough room for it (or rack-mount it). No problems observed in the first few days of operation, so I’m a happy customer for now. And as long as it works without trouble at least 3 years, I’ll remain a happy customer.Note that there are some operational changes you can make with dip-switches: I left them all off, but advanced users may want to look at a manual before buying, to make sure the options meet the needs.

Great switch wish power brick was integrated
Works great set up for a few POE cameras that were preinstalled in my house easy to mount with some drywall screws. only downside is the massive power brick it has makes it difficult to mount cleanly.

Works great.
Good little POE switch, it will power what you need, from AP’s to POE IP Cameras.

Works well
Installation was very easy and it works well, including powering my Ubiquiti Access Point via poe. I have one minor caveat about its physical design: presumably in order to minimize the size of the ‘package’, the power supply socket and a couple of configuration switches are on the opposite side of the device to the ethernet ports. This is not ideal if you want to use it on a desktop, since the connected ethernet cables ‘naturally’ run back to the far edge of the desk and the more flexible power lead has to be plugged in on the front, visible, side. Also, since all the function LEDS are adjacent to their ports, you can’t see them without craning your neck behind the device. It would be preferable, at least from this viewpoint, if all the sockets and switches were on the ‘back’, and the function LEDs were moved to the front of the ‘package’.

âââââ Plug and Play Perfection for PoE!I’ve been using this TP-Link 5-Port Gigabit PoE Switch (4 PoE ports) for a few weeks now, and I couldn’t be happier with its performance. It’s truly a “plug and play” device that delivers exactly what it promises.I needed to power a couple of IP cameras and a PoE access point, and this switch handled it flawlessly. Setup was as simple as plugging in the devices and connecting the switch to my network â no complicated configurations or software needed. All my PoE devices powered up instantly and have been running reliably ever since. The build quality feels solid and it runs silently, which is a huge plus in my home office setup. The gigabit speeds ensure there are no bottlenecks for my network traffic, even with multiple devices running. For anyone looking for a reliable, easy-to-use, and effective PoE solution for a small network, this TP-Link switch is an absolute winner. Highly recommended!

Good quality, robust and simple – plug in all your network devices and connect to a router and away you go â no stuffing about, just works.I like the robust steel chassis/case and the large power supply. Often with these types of devices, the included power supply is absolute rubbish and fails within the first couple of years. However, judging by the size of this power supply, Iâm expecting years of trouble-free service.I bought this switch to power my POE (Power Over Ethernet) security cameras and to allow connecting multiple cameras to the last available network port in my router. Thus far I have 2x security cameras connected (Amcrest IP8M-T2499EW and IP2M-841EB) with both cameras working well and more cameras on the way.Amcrest offer a similar switch for a similar price, however the speed is only 10/100Mbps. This switch is 10/100/1000Mbps, which should ensue longevity for future upgrades. Just a note – if youâre going to all the trouble to run network cables through your roof and down walls, make sure to use Cat 6 or better for future upgrades. My cameras only have a 100Mbps network interface, however the next generation will likely have a 1000Mbps â so Iâll be right to re-use my current network infrastructure.
