This is no ordinary USB memory stick. It’s a real SSD.Used as the primary drive for Raspberry PI 3B and 4B. Noticeably faster than other USB sticks and definitely faster than SD cards.

Terrific Bang For The Buck!
I’m glad I pulled the trigger on this little 2TB Bad Boy. It’s super-fast and just works. Depending on your use, you may get different results. First, don’t pay any attention to the speed specs of any stick or SSD drives. They all base their exaggerated speed claims on best-case scenarios. That being said, I use mine for storage and playing movie files on my Samsung Smart TV as I no longer use disc drives. It plays a full 2-hour to 3-hour movie without getting very hot and without a hiccup. When transferring movie files to it, I regularly got 200 to 300 MB/s write transfer speed (my Samsung T-5 and T-7 SSD drives write at 30 to 35 GB/s). If I transferred 200 to 500 GB at a time, it would get very hot by the time it wrote 150 GB’s or so. If I blew air on it while it was writing, it cooled down considerably. And after a hundred GB or so and hot temp, it would slow down to around 80MB/s speed for a while but pick back up in speed, especially if I blew air on it to cool it down. So, I would recommend transferring about 100GB at a time instead of half a TB at a time. But either way will work fine. Don’t let the hot temp bother you. It’s designed to operate at the extreme temp. My Patriot 500GB and 1-TB sticks gets super-hot as well and they have never failed me. So, this is not abnormal. I also love the USB “C” connection it has on one end. Now I can finally make use of my “C” connection on my laptop and keep the other 2 USB-3 ports open. I use this Transcend stick to play movie files and my Samsung 2TB T-7 as the backup SSD drive for my movie files. But the Samsung SSD movie file transfer speed is only about 35 GB/s while this Transcend stick writes movie files at 200 to 300GB/s. So, I’m definitely going to get another one of these Transcend 2TB sticks. The hot temps and occasional slow-downs are really not a big deal when you consider the small size, convenience and extreme speed of this stick. And the end caps fit on snug. No issue there. If you’ve been thinking about this little gem, just get it. You’ll be glad and impressed.

I love these tiny drives.
These work great for our purposes. I love that they have both USB and USB-C connectors on them and the transfer speeds are butter than many of the thumb drives we use. So theyâre great for quickly transferring large files or for even playing video from. Iâll keep buying these as we need them since theyâre one of the best values out there.

Awesome USB flash for DJ’s
I purchased this after another DJ on a forum recommended it. I am very wary of these types of devices simply because I use them in a DJ environment and if you have a bad one, it can be a bad time when you are trying to perform. I purchased it based on that other recommendation but had my usual Samsung as a back up. the speed as advertised very fast. The great thing about this particular flash drive is the fact that it has both USB. You can plug it into your MacBook Pro with the USB, eject it then plug it into your favorite CDJ without having to use a dongle.

Transcend ESD310C 1TB SSDIt’s only a couple of weeks old, but so far it’s as good as any SSD/flash/thumb drive I’ve owned. Probably better than any.It’s used for backup, a little drive that can easily be carried in a pocket. It replaces an old SP drive of the same capacity that has been failing and is now landfill.The first test of this new drive was to copy a single 350 GB encrypted file to it from another SSD. According to Windows, the copy speed was about 425 MB/s. Is that actual MB/s or really MiB/s? Only Microsoft knows for sure. Whatever, the drive sailed right through the copy without slowing down.That is unusual. Typically a new drive would transfer data at a lower speed, perhaps around 300 MB/s and still might get warm while receiving a file of that size. If so, it might reduce the transfer speed to avoid overheating.The rest of the backup process involves dozens of files, from 2 bytes to 28 GB. No problems.There is a discrepancy with the serial number. The box and the drive itself show the same 10-character string, but CrystalDiskInfo shows a 20-character string which includes most of the string shown on the drive and box.It is Chinese, but it’s from Taiwan, the guys I trust.
