Actual Premium Headset
I was surprised. I used a Turtle Beach headset years ago and was not happy with my experience. You hear that Turtle Beaches are kinda looked down upon, like Alienware computers. I was happily surprised with the quality of the headset. I was using a Steel Series Arctics 7x for multiplatform and Bluetooth compatibilities. It was a small headset that was very uncomfortable to wear, especially with the headband pressing against my head all the time. The audio was not impressive at all either. With the stealth 700, I couldn’t help but open the box with my jaw agape. The cushions are so nice to wear, the drivers are bass heavy and very pleasant to listen to while playing war games like Battlefield. The metal frame makes me feel safe when handling the headset, and it was pretty easy to set up. The firmware update took awhile, but so far no problems, even with connectivity. Overall, very satisfied with the product. Some people mention my mic quality went down, but I’m just happy it’s not very sensitive and picking up on every single background noise like my other one. Highly recommend

VERY IMPORTANT! Charge headset first, then follow the quick start instructions. Scan the QR code, download the app, update the firmware, or the mic won’t work.Pros- Well-built, comfortable, good sound, great sound adjustment options through the app, great balance between game sound and party clarity; neither one dominates the other, battery life seems acceptable, easy on/off mic flip option.Cons – can’t make any sound adjustments other than volume through your Xbox, every other sound adjustment can only be done once you reconnect through the app.I will say after buying and returning two cheaper ($95 and $125) wireless headsets that the more expensive headsets are worth the price. So far.

A Great Headset
Absolutely love these! They auto-connect to my phones Bluetooth when powered on, and then to the Xbox or PC. I really like that because I can listen to music while gaming but if Iâm streaming it doesnât interrupt the stream. I also really like the sound coming out of the headphones, itâs got good chunky bass and really nice fidelity on the high end.Iâve tried some of the advanced features (which can be used on your Xbox with the phone app) such as the footstep enhancer. This creates a sound dip on either end of the footstep noise so that they become more noticeable, however this also lowers the sound quality because you are losing some of that reverberation. I only recommend turning that on if you want to seriously game online, otherwise keep it off for a more full sound.My biggest disappointment is I canât tell which scroll wheel does what on the mic, so sometimes Iâll think Iâm lowering volume when Iâm really changing the balance between game and voice chat. They could definitely provide better audio feedback to let me know, but again this can be fixed just by opening the app and seeing what you set.My friends say the mic sounds way better than my last one, and the flip -up to mute is easy and fast.

This headset has awesome sound, and the 80hr battery life is incredible. It comes with two usb transmitters, which is unheard of in todays market. The fact that I can seamlessly switch between my Xbox and my PC with the press of a button, is very convenient. The headset can be used independently on my Xbox and PC as well, so I don’t have to keep them both turned on. I bought the Xbox version, because it’s compatible with the Xbox, PC, and PlayStation. The other version are not compatible with Xbox. The 60mm drivers produce phenomenal sound, and the settings for the equalizer can be customized in the Swarm 2 software. Swarm 2 is also available as a phone app, and you can change the settings on the fly. The only issue I have is with the update process through the apps. It’s a little quirky, and you have to have your phone, headset, and both transmitters connected while updating. I didn’t have any issues while updating, but it is a much different process than what I am accustomed to. The headset is extremely comfortable, and doesn’t crimp your head. The ear cushions have leatherette on the outside, and a nice cloth fabric for the part that touches your ear. This keeps my ears from sweating, and makes those lengthy gaming sessions more comfortable. I highly recommend this product and I don’t think you will find better sound in a $200 headset. Now for the bad on the delivery and order fulfillment. I returned the one I received from Amazon, and reordered a headset from Turtle Beach directly. The one I received from Amazon was thrown in a bag and shipped. Electronic items should always be shipped and packaged in a box. The top right corner of the product box was creased, and two of the seals were broken. It was a defective unit that had been previously returned. The transmitter for the Xbox could not be detected by my Series X. This is not the first time I have received an open defective product from Amazon, when I thought I was purchasing a new one. I did return the product and the refund was promptly completed. I purchased the item on sale, and during the return process there was no option for an exchange. The sale was over by the time my return was completed, so I was unable to take advantage of it. Great headset with horrible fulfillment.

Bottom Line Up Front: 7 out of 10.Positives:The battery life is excellent â it easily lasts through long gaming sessions without needing a recharge. Sound clarity and quality are impressive, especially considering the lack of active noise cancellation. The headset fits comfortably; itâs not too tight, and the fabric touching your head is a breathable micro-fiber that stays cool. I also enjoy the sidetone feature (hearing your own voice through the mic), though I do wish it could be turned up a bit more.Neutral Observations:The color in person is more of a blue-purple (almost cobalt with rose gold accents) rather than whatâs shown in the listing photos â not bad, just different than expected.Drawbacks:The biggest issue for me was that, right out of the box, the headset requires a firmware update. Thatâs fine in theory, but both wireless dongles (for different platforms) need to be updated at the same time, which is super inconvenient. I had to borrow a laptop just to complete the update, since my console was already using one port.Also, the headset is a bit on the heavier side, and the buttons and scroll wheels are very sensitive â which can lead to accidental presses or volume changes.

I moved to these after previously using razer nari headsets (yeah I know, what was it thinking?).I’d previously had bad experiences with turtle beach. Primarily the build quality. But thought I’d take a chance with these.I honestly have to say. These may be the best headsets I’ve ever had.The battery life is insane. You go “yeah right, 80 hours of battery life” then usually have to charge headsets before every game session. But I’ve charged these well over a week ago, and after 8 hours of gaming every night for well over 7 days ago, they still have 48% charge.The app is a breeze to use. And any firmware update CAN be done via mobile.Sound is amazing. With a great balance between treble and bass. With neither cancelling the other out.And the cheery on top is the Bluetooth connection. You can answer calls, watch YouTube ect whilst using the headset.And the build quality is robust, but very comfortable, and glasses friendly.A superb headset. That has restored my faith in turtle beach.
