I purchased this product for recording myself on my phone for an online speech class, as well as to hold my tablet for various uses. FYI, I have used it with my 7th gen iPad and 6S Plus iPhone (I know, I’m due for an upgrade lol).First off, the quality for the price is top notch! For what I needed it for, I have no complaints with the sturdiness. I can’t speak for using it outside on a windy day for example, but for pretty much any indoor or non-extreme-weather outdoor use I could think of, I would say go for it! The design of the product is far beyond what I expected at this price point. It’s divided into sections you can unlock individually and lock where you want them. The tripod part is sturdy as heck without taking up too much room (ie circumference).As for the phone and tablet holders, these are pretty good overall. The phone holder is kind of strange for me because it kind of requires you to put your phone into the grip horizontally instead of giving an option, but once it’s in the grip, you can still adjust the connector to hold the phone vertically. Luckily the grip has cutouts on it to accommodate the phone’s charging port/microphone/etc while in the grip.The tablet grip is much sturdier than I expected. I had doubts that it would be big or sturdy enough to hold my 7th gen iPad, but I haven’t had any problems. It’s a little strange for me in that the tablet goes in it diagonally, but it’s not something that I would call a negative. I also have a thick/bulky leather tablet case with a cover, so I have to remove the case to put it in this tablet grip. However, that’s not something that bothers me that much. I would guess that if you have a case that’s one of those plastic or silicone skins without much bulk, you might not need to remove it.I have actually used this with my tablet for a couple “everyday” uses. I write articles for my job and I’ve used it a couple times to hold my tablet at about 3-3.5’ high while I sat on the couch with my Bluetooth keyboard. I can also see using it for looking at craft patterns or music tabs/sheets.The only complaints I have so far are fairly minor.1. The “ball joints” that tighten on the grips to connect them to the tripod (especially for the phone grip) seem a little junky. I can’t seem to get them fully connected without fear of breaking them off. However, that hasn’t stopped me from being able to tighten it enough to hold where I want. that would be my main concern about this product – worrying that those parts might not hold up for as long as I would like. However if that does happen, it seems like something that *might* be fairly universal to replace.2. The tripod comes with a nice carrying case, but there isn’t enough room to pack all the pieces in it. The tripod itself fits nicely but it’s too small to hold all the other pieces, particularly the tablet grip. This is a minor annoyance lol. But it seems like if you’re going to the trouble to include a bag, at least make it big enough for all the parts?Overall, if you need a sturdy little tripod for your phone and/or tablet, this is a great option! If you need something that would hold up to more than light wind, it might not be the one, but otherwise I’ve been so impressed with the quality of what I got for this price point. I’d definitely recommend this product!Just make sure you check the measurements – I did and it fits my devices perfectly, but I could totally see overlooking that detail or guessing and being wrong.

It works, so far.
I use it for busking, tablet and a phone underneath for 2 audio sources, or to use the phone holder for live streaming. Works really well so far in the few outings I’ve had. The legs had been fine for the weight so far of a 10″ tablet and a typical candybar phone, awaiting to see how it goes with larger 12.9-14″ tablets for better lyrics/chords/score viewing and will update this review if and when I get around to it.When I first didn’t realize that the tablet clamps were meant to be used diagonally, I was clamping my tablet at the shorter side, and this had proved to be stable in both horizontal and vertical orientation, clamp force wise. So while I dont think this would necessarily accommodate the larger tab s8+ or even the monstrous tab s8 ultra diagonally, I shall attempt to see if it’d clamp them down at their shorter edges.One definite con. Kinda got this particular one for the storage bag for ease of transport and organization. That was a wash since the bag wouldn’t fit the 2 clamps, so you’d still need to carry them separately somehow; docking 1 star for sure for defeating the purpose of having a bag.
