Great value and Amazingly Tiny Tech
This is the second of two biaze devices I picked up from Amazon and have recently been using. I really like the integrated USB-A and C option included on this device. Obviously, if C is available that is typically the one I’m going to use but it is nice to not have to worry about losing the USB C-to-A adapter because of the integrated cable.I have been using capture devices for quite a while and have a trusty Hauppauge PVR 2 that I have been using for many years. While this device doesn’t have all of the features the Hauppauge has , it is sure a lot smaller – See attached picture. Notably, the PVR 2 has the ability to capture 6 channel audio, where this one doesn’t.I did some capture with using the freeware software OBS Studio and found that it works really well with this biaze capture device. Setting it up was easy enough and the software was simple enough to configure and immediately start capturing video.I could see the one definite plus being that this is so small you could just keep it in a utility bag in case the need arose. Even though it says input in small letters next to the HDMI port, I am going to be putting a label on it because it looks just like an HDMI output adapter and it could be easily confused as such.

Perfect price
I liked the dual USB and that the card is OBS compatible. And the price point is perfect. But Iâll need to buy some more equipment to capture my game play in real time for upload. Thereâs only one HDMI port (output) on my PS5 and, unfortunately, only one HDMI port (input) on the card. (This is freely disclosed in the product description, I just didnât realize the significance). So I couldnât connect both my TV and the capture card to my PS5. I ran an HDMI from my PS5 to the capture card and from the capture card to my laptop via the USB C. I played the PS5 on my laptop. Thereâs a lag between touching a controller button and the effect manifesting on my laptop screen. This wasnât bad for slow moving games but unacceptable for fast moving game like Call of Duty. I could buy an HDMI splitter or a pricey multi HDMI card. For this price I can afford to try to daisy chain more than one of these.

Impressive 4K Capture CardâAmazing Quality at a Bargain Price
I received this 4K HDMI capture card and was honestly blown away by its performance. I use it every week for my YouTube show and it hasn’t missed a beatâthe color accuracy was noticeably better than I expected for the price, and motion handling in both live streams and game captures looked pretty darn good. Even when recording intense gameplay sessions, the recordings came out sharp and smooth, which really impressed me.Switching between USB and Type-C outputs was totally hassle-free, which makes it super flexible for different setups. I didnât need to install any extra driversâjust plugged it in and it worked right away with OBS. The aluminum build is reassuringly solid and keeps things running cool, even during longer recording sessions.Is this on par with the top-end Elgato or AVerMedia cards? Noâbut at this price, you absolutely canât do better. If youâre looking to step up your streaming or recording without spending a fortune, I highly recommend this capture card. Itâs made my weekly production smoother and easier, and for anyone starting out or working on a budget, itâs a fantastic investment.

Works but compresses poorly – mediocre latency
This does function. A small feature I liked was the flushness of the usbc to usb a adapter built in – you almost can’t tell its there.However, the quality disappointed me. I think the built in compression is just pretty bad. It accepts up to 4k 60hz input but doesn’t even approach a standard 1080p quality.It also seems to accept audio input but I did not test this thoroughly.Overall. I think this is OK for the price. Probably fine if you just need to record a device without built in screen recording, or output video to a computer in a pinch.However, the middling latency and poor visual quality make this a bad choice for streaming.I was hoping to use this to use my switch at my desk and enable streaming to my friends, but it’s not a very attractive option given the quality.If you intend to use this to stream to a larger audience, I would caution against it even further. This would not meet your needs.Just understand what you are getting into, and I don’t believe it’s horrible for the price. I guess you get what you pay for.
