Description:
Master vSphere 8.x Like a Pro—Without Boring Yourself to Death
Whether you’re a VMware rookie setting up your first ESXi host or a seasoned admin who’s stared down more Purple Screens of Death than you care to admit, VMware vSphere 8.x, Virtualization, vCenter, ESXi, and Expert Deployment Strategies is your all-access pass to becoming a true virtualization virtuoso. Packed with wit, real-world examples, and the kind of clarity you wish official documentation had, this book takes you from “Wait, what’s a hypervisor?” to “Move over, I’m scripting HA recovery during lunch.”
Inside these 25 smart, sassy chapters, you’ll master everything from ESXi installation, vCenter deployment, clustering with DRS & HA, and networking with vSwitches and VLANs, all the way to storage wizardry, troubleshooting like Sherlock, and avoiding licensing nightmares with your CFO. And yes—there’s even a deep dive into vSphere 8’s new features, including DPUs, Lifecycle Manager, and Configuration Profiles that actually make sense.
This book isn’t just another technical tome—it’s a survival guide for real sysadmins, IT architects, and cloud-curious pros who value efficiency, humor, and actionable knowledge.
Written by Scott Markham, the author who’s made an entire career out of turning complicated IT concepts into page-turning tech wisdom, this guide is one of many in his acclaimed library of IT technical books covering PowerShell, Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, Kubernetes, TCP/IP, Splunk, and more. If you’re tired of dry manuals and ready to actually enjoy learning, you’ve found your tech guru.

Instructive book but not there yet!
In simple terms great but unfinished, I understand that the idea is promote exploration but is too much, almost written in a Bible type each paragraph has a number, but it lacks of specifics, example etc, how toâs etc.Having said that, the author speaks from a position of knowledge that is clearly seen thru the book, is fun and instructive but more like a broad view than a must to go ultimate step before diving into vSphere.
