I bought this switch to have a spare on hand in the event my currently installed pressure switch fails. Well pressure switches DO FAIL because they turn on & off constantly (just like a light bulb does) – so having a spare on hand is just common sense. They can be installed by anyone with a little plumbing (and common) sense and some basic hand tools. I have typically used Square D/Schneider Electric well pressure switches – but the 40/60 ones are hard to find right now. So, I bought this one instead. This one appears to be every bit as good as the Square D brand – and it is a little heavier than the Square D brand. Time will tell – but this looks to be a good switch. The price was slightly lower than the Square D switches – which is another bonus.
