That’ll just be between you and your router. Make intricate patterns in both the exterior and interior of your workpieces with the WEN Trim Router. This versatile machine features a variable-speed 6-amp motor, providing speeds from 12,000 to 30,000 rotations per minute. The 1/4-inch collet allows for compatibility with a wide variety of 1/4-inch-shank bits. Our soft startup design prevents damage to your workpiece and lengthens the tool’s lifespan. The adjustable locking straight base can be adjusted up to 1-5/8 inches up and down, allowing users to create gradual passes that slowly increase in depth. The straight base also features a transparent base plate for maximum vision to your line of cut during operation. The included guide fence attaches easily for routing perfectly straight lines, helping to create dadoes and grooves along the workpiece. Swap on the trim guide for maintaining an equal cutting distance along the edges of irregularly shaped workpieces. And, because it’s a WEN product, your woodworking router comes backed by a two-year warranty, a stocked inventory of replacement parts, and a friendly customer help line. Great little workhorse.
Purchased this to complete some 80% lowers. It works very well. Plenty of power to move some aluminum and enough RPM to leave a smooth finish. If you need to know what thread size and pitch for ordering correct end mill, it is 14mm x 1.0

A Solid Addition to Any Workshop
This router is perfect for anyone looking for an affordable yet powerful tool. The motor packs a punch, allowing me to easily cut through even the toughest wood without bogging down (though I did have to replace the power cord once because it melted – but hey, that’s what you get when you use cheap tools). This router can handle a wide variety of tasks, whether it’s making simple cuts or tackling more complex projects. It even comes with a couple of attachments for different types of cuts, which is nice because I hate having to buy separate tools. One thing I appreciate about this router is its user-friendly design. The adjustable straight base makes it easy to guide the tool along your line of cut, and the transparent plate provides clear visibility (though sometimes sawdust builds up under there, so you have to clean it out occasionally). Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase. It’s a great value for the money, and it has definitely come in handy for my woodworking projects – especially those rough 2×4 furniture pieces that could use some sprucing up (oh, by the way, did you know that untreated wood can harbor all sorts of bacteria and insects? Just something to think about).

Decent little router
I got this router to dedicate to a jig that requires a 65mm router, and I didn’t want to spend Makita money on a router for one thing. I have a nice palm router (A bosch). Comparatively, this one isn’t really it. That being said, it’s also 49.99, and the bosch colt is around 120.As far as what makes this a cheap router and not a very nice router… This thing vibrates A LOT. Nicer name brand routers vibrate a lot less. The collet wrenches are thin sheet metal and are fairly cheap, nicer routers have nicer collet wrenches, I’ve had cheap routers with this sort of wrench, and have had them bend when the collet binds up. The height adjustment gear on the base is fairly chintzy and there’s a lot of play/slop in it.All of that said, I’ve seen worse in a cheap router (believe it or not). And it’s very much so serviceable. It’s usable for my purposes (I’m using it in a mortising jig), and has enough torque for that. But if you’re going to have one router, maybe spend a bit more on a nicer router. If all you can afford this, it’s a valid choice.

Good tool for the money.
I have about 5 hours running this trim router and it works well. I am doing relief carving with it. Runs true and the variable speed feature is very handy for setting up for different bit sizes. The only issues I found were the rack and pinion is a little sloppy and the collet can be a bit difficult to get out. The rack issue was solved by applying a bit of lithium/teflon grease to the rack and a wipe to the router body. Works smoothly now but still has some play in it. The collet issue was similar and got better with a drop of grease, but still need to use a small steel rod to push the bit out thru the stop hole in the collet. Not a big problem as I don’t change bits that often.

What a DEAL WEN RT 1460 router 1/4″ handheld router
I purchased these routers (x2) to install in my workbench, the routers are well made and handles 1/4″ shank bits. I use one router with a round over bit installed and the other with a flush trim bit installed. The routers have plenty of power to use on solid hardwood, and seem have a lower noise level than my larger routers and other trim routers. So essentially I have a dual router system set up on my workbench. The package seemed very heavy when I received it as I was expecting a light weight cheaper router but boy was I surprised when I opened it up to reveal a well made solidly built router, the weight is solid and preforms very well.I would recommend these routers for handheld or table mount. For the value versus the price you can’t beatit. As I mentioned I purchased 2 of these to use in my woodworking shop. The router comes with a convenient guide fence for straight cuts and a trim guide that can be used for irregular and curved edges. My final rating is 5 stars for the product I am extremely happy with my purchases.

STRONG
Its a strong little beast, does the job very well, but as one reviewer mentioned, if you have a bit that larger than 1.5 inches, it will not get past the plastic bottom plate, you can get it to work by taking off the bottom plate (4 screws). the plate hole is about one eight of an inch too small (you can always file it out if you really want to). I just removed the bottom plate while using a .5 inch rabbit bit that was 1.5 inch diameter.

Good but not insulated
Powerful enough for most things but man does it heat up and burn your hand after say 12 feet of routing

Junk! Iâve had mine for six months and only used it less than 10 times and it quit, plugged it turned it on the bit did half a revolution then it died. Not worth it if you have to replace it twice a year like it expired or something

No corresponde al precio. Más por lo que pagas.Este mini router es muy bueno. Funciona muy bien a Bajas y altas revoluciones. No vibra, la base es de aluminio y es precisa, la guÃa lateral y las llaves son de un buen calibre.
