Climate controls and hazards work same as OEM touch system. These are physical buttons which is better then touch in my opinion. My factory backup camera does not work with this screen. There’s some sort of distortion or interference on the screen when I’m in reverse. Not sure how to fix that. You won’t be able to access your inner Ford options such at the ambient lighting. You can change the option but the system itself doesn’t save it. Apple car play works excellent wirelessly. It’s a bit slow and laggy but it’s totally functional and not annoying. Android auto works sometimes wirelessly. Boot up is somewhat slow, but that was expected. Other than that, good product.

i really like it. we had a professional company install it so i can’t comment on how easy it was to install. the guy did say we must have done our research because he had installed a lot of stereos that cost a lot more and didn’t have nearly as many functions as this one. my only complaint is that i wish there was a manual the explained the functions and how to’s better for us older people that aren’t tech savey . i can’t figure put how to set the clock and when i try to change the temperature from Celsius to Fahrenheit. i click on the F but it doesn’t change from c . but it plays and sounds great, just wish i knew how to operate it better

Complete Waste of Money !
Purchased this for my daughter’s 2014 Ford Edge as a Christmas Present. At first I was a little confused on the connections but seller was very informative and have me clear instructions for proper connections. Unit itself installed in a short afternoon. Absolutely not cutting , trimming or altering of the stock moldings. (As the pics show) I did look up a YouTube installation video as a little help working around the gear shift/console areas. Installing the back up camera took a bit longer since I ran the wires up & through the headliners & rear hatch gate so not to have any exposed wiring. Length of the supplied wires was more than enough. I mounted the camera just above the license plate, had to drill 2 very small holes, other than that it was plug & GO ! Camera view is exceptionally clear. (Better than my 2017 Chevy) Sound quality is better than I expected with the built in equalizer. The Apple Car Play is a Full Luxury and the volume sinc right to the factory steering wheel controls. Took a little getting used to the new buttons & touch screen controls, but only because the stock factory unit was the simple base model (No Bluetooth, 2” Screen, etc) Anyhoo, Definitely an upgrade without breaking your bank account ! 8/28/2025 Update: Had an issue with the entire unit after 14 mos. The control panel was sporadic, volume / power button stopped functioning first. Then the Screen / monitor would randomly freeze up. I contacted the seller and they informed me”I was past the return window”. No Kidden, but I still expect the product to last more the 16 months. They told me to communicate with them through their email, NOT on the Amazon messaging center. (Seller agreed to a replacement ONLY if I deleted my negative review & gave a good review) Results, they replaced the screen but not the control panel. Some buttons worked but not all, but I managed. NOW less than a year after installing the new screen, it has completely gone dark. Cannot operate at all. Tried contacting seller / support but to no avail. So in a few words….. Save your money ! Product is a cheap pile & waste of time & money. Spend a few bucks more & save yourself some headaches.
