I planned a whole series of gifts around this for my daughter’s 8th birthday. Camera, case, tripod (so she’d stop stealing mine haha), etc.She loves taking pictures and really likes this camera. However, this wasn’t the camera she was quite ready for. So the company was more than accommodating and extremely kind about the situation, and found us a more suitable camera for her current skillset. This is actually the kindest most effortless company I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with from Amazon in the some 12+ years that I’ve been an Amazon prime member and customer!

As others have said, this is not 56 MP as stated, the pictures are NOT sharp or clear, very shoddy. It is also all plastic and the tab you have to pop up to get to the battery compartment is very hard to open and very flimsy, the SD Card is in the battery compartment so if you have to open it often, I see the tab breaking very quickly. he batteries do not last very long either. Honestly, I would not even buy it for a kid. Just a waste of money. All I was going to use it for was taking pictures of craft items I was selling on line, It would not even take simple clear pictures for that….UPDATE, my opinion hasn’t changed but the company did contact me and issued me a refund.

With this, one has to really keep pricepoint in mindThere were some carefuly thought out things like an extra battery and a mem card in packageoptics are mehimage quality is reasonable – good for the price pointthe case isnt going to be super durable..so prob not the best action cambut for a dedicated unit, or a unit that could get broken, or for a little one without a phone, etc this is a decent way to gothough the current pricingg options are a bit baffling
