Customers say

Customers find the motorcycle helmet to be well-made, comfortable, and good value for money, with one customer noting it’s roomy enough for glasses. The visor clarity receives mixed feedback – while some find the optics clear, others report it fogs up. The helmet’s sturdiness is also mixed, with some praising the hinges and faceplate while others find the front visor flimsy. Customers disagree on the wind noise level, with some saying it’s not very noisy while others find it very noisy in the wind.

    Great helmet, great price!
Great helmet for a very reasonable price. Very impressed with all the features and fit perfectly. Looks great and the built in sunshade is awesome.

    Very very light weight. Nice!
I absolutely love this helmet. It fits me like a glove. I love the fact that I can raise the entire chin guard out of my way if I need to take a drink of water or talk to somebody, the internal sunvisor is fantastic. The outer clear visor fits over it and locks in the place perfectly. I can’t say enough good about this helmet. being from South Carolina it’s Very hot here. It’s nice to have a helmet where I can take the lining out and wash it and have a nice fresh helmet The next time I ride. I’d recommend this helmet to anybody.

Good enough convertible lid for leisure riding
Appearance wise, it’s a pretty helmet. Closer inspection shows some manufacturing downfalls – it could/should be made with a little more care. Plastic edges are sharp and the total feel of the aesthetics is a bit “plastic”.That being said, however, it is good enough to be DOT approved, and all of the parts work as designed. For the price level, it is a good helmet. Not that I want to hide the Yema name, but bought the helmet to customise it to my liking, so I was hoping for the Yema logo to be a decal, but it is buried under clearcoat, so I cannot remove them to have a clean white canvas to work with.Removable insides are nice, and the inner visor works (albeit a bit clunky) well. I don’t want to mar it, so I will use water and microfiber to clean it.The flip-up chin guard works well, but I don’t advise flipping it up while riding at high speeds.Certainly not a high grade lid, but good enough helmet that has modern design cues and build quality for leisure local rides.I bought this so that can instruct an advanced riding class without having to take off and put on the helmet during the riding sessions. It worked out very well.Note: Most tracks won’t allow convertible helmets (Yema or any other brands) due to the non-solid chin guard. I believe Snell won’t approve convertibles.

    Great helmet
This is my second YEMA helmet, the modular feature is great. The fit is perfect doesn’t squish my face too much and the drop down sunglasses are a big plus. I ordered the same size in this one as my non-modular helmet and it fits perfectly. Great helmet for the price.

A decent helmet for the price that is DOT rated. Definitely great for the “budget” minded.
Great helmet for the price. Definitely order one size bigger than you normally do for helmets as this one fit like an XL even though it is XXL. I was able to add my Bluetooth intercom easily as the liner snaps in and out easily and especially with the face portion in the up position. I was a little disappointed in the vent covers trouble staying open or closed, they should have been able to be clicked into open or close and they instead open or close depending on wind direction and force. I was also a bit disappointed with how much wind noise I hear compared to my previous motorcycle helmet. It is a very comfortable helmet and I love the flip up modular face portion of the helmet. The built in sun visor is nice and dark on sunny days. The chin strap is easy to use and strong compared to my previous helmet’s d-ring chin strap. Good helmet for the price if you are not looking for complete reduction in wind noise. That’s one of the reasons I gave it 3 stars instead of 5. The other reasons are due to the vent covers not staying open or closed as they should. But the price was lower compared to other modular helmets and it says DOT rated so I intend to keep using this helmet as my daily riding helmet until I have to replace it in a few years per state laws. Keep it sunny side up out there!

    Amazing buy for a helmet
I challenge you to find a more feature-filled helmet for the money. I wish you a lot of luck in doing it. So far I have had this helmet on (the matte black variety) for over 2,300 miles of riding, so I have a good idea of how it performs. I will provide both the bad and the good, with the list of bad first because it is extremely short. The Bad:The optics fog up easily. Be prepared to crack the visor slightly at stop lights to allow for a little air to keep it fog-free.Closing the air vents does not completely prevent air from entering the helmet. This can lead to a cold head in the late fall. The chin curtain could be slightly lower to assist on colder days. The Good:The drop-down sun visor. It operates smoothly. It is a perfect tint level so as to not interfere with your vision. It stays put when it needs to.The optics are clear, even though as mentioned in the bad that they fog easily. Surface is easy to clean with a soft microfiber towel. The vents provide plenty of air, and are not overly noisy even 50+ mph.The fit and finish are excellent. Visor closes with a click and opens easily. Surface is smooth has a quality appearance and feel. The inside liner is snug but does not smash your face (as long as you size correctly). The liner snaps in place and is easy to remove and re-insert.It is very comfortable, even on rides exceeding an hour or more.I can’t say enough about this helmet. Go search on helmets with this same feature set, especially a sun-visor that either drops down or is integrated into the face shield, and you will see helmets 3-4, and even 5 times more expensive than this one. At 3.7 pounds, even helmets in the $350-400 range aren’t any lighter. This is a DOT-rated helmet. Always make sure whatever you buy is DOT approved and has that certification on the inside liner; not just an external sticker. This is a great buy and I will buy again from Yema. Here’s hoping they provide more designs and maybe some fog-free upgrades.

    Great value
Pros: Comfortable, well made, great value, visor mechanisms are well made.Cons: it doesn’t feel light weight, but it’s not heavy. Some wind noise is created by the sharp edges on the surface of the helmet but is tolerable.

    Tremendous value.
I ordered this knowing that it was too good to be true, a sub $100 helmet with features of a $500 helmet. But what a buy. It’s everything I hope for. It’s got the certifications, it fits perfect, and the modular features work great.
