5 Stars – Solid build, responsive keys, and killer RGB!
I’ve been using the Corsair K70 RGB MK.2 for a few months now, and it’s been a fantastic addition to my setup. The Cherry MX Red switches are smooth and quiet, making it perfect for both gaming and typing. The RGB lighting is vibrant and customizable, and I love how I can sync it with my other Corsair peripherals using the iCUE software. The aluminum frame gives it a premium feel, and the wrist rest adds comfort during long gaming sessions. The dedicated media controls and volume wheel are super convenient, and the USB passthrough port is a nice touch. Overall, it’s a top-notch keyboard that combines performance, aesthetics, and durability. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their gaming setup!

    Needs USB 3.0
I’m going to start by telling you that I’m not a gamer, but I prefer gaming PC hardware because it tends to be more customizable, have more options available/larger selection, and lasts a lot longer. I am a developer and work in the IT department of a large organization, spending over 50 hours per week at my computer typing code, documentation, emails, etc., so my machine is important to me.I needed a new keyboard and just wanted RGB so I went on a hunt and asked some gamer friends for recommendations on what to look for. Based on my “likes” for keyboard feel, they recommended the Cherry Red switches (in addition to a few others). I was able to test some at a local PC store and decided that the Cherry MX Red from Corsair was by far my favorite. Then off to Amazon for the right options/layout and price. I prefer a keyboard with a bit more angle and a deeper key. As non-gamer, I didn’t need the customizable hot keys, but I absolutely insist on a separate number pad for when I’m doing calculations. that led me to this layout (non mini, non low profile, no gamer keys off to the left). This keyboard feels great. I actually find that I make fewer typos when using it than on my prior keyboard. It’s amazing with the right amount of give and take in a key will do for you.I will say that the keys are a little more sensitive than I’m used to so I occasionally get a double hit on a key or if I’m resting my left hand while I type some right hand letters, a left hand key might slip in the mix. I’ll get used to it over time but it is something to note. The included wrist rest is a must to get the right angle on the keys, and I wish the back prop supports were a bit longer, but I’ll make it work. The RGB lighting effects are amazing, even without the proprietary software. It worked plug and play out of the box, but the description is wrong – it says you only need USB 2.0. You need at least one 3.0 port for the keyboard itself, but the passthrough USB can be 3.0 or 2.0.I love that it came with a few replacement/alternate keys for the main gaming keys (wasd and fderqw) that are textured plus a key remover. You won’t need the key remover, though – I had 4 keys that had popped off in transit and I had to replace them. No damage but I had to pop them back on.The volume control wheel is more helpful than I would have thought, and it’s even intelligent enough to adjust the volume on the remote machine when connected and using an RDP session but adjust the local machine settings if you minimize the RDP session and return to your local workstation.I’ve only used this for about half a workday so far and already I’m in love. I would absolutely buy this keyboard again and am considering getting a full set of replacement keys for when I eventually wear the paint off these (as I tend to do, no idea how!)Long story long, this is a great RGB keyboard with a smooth keystroke and just enough click to let you know it’s mechanical. Corsair got this one right.

    Great keyboard!
I’m a developer and I purchased this for that purpose. This is my first mechanical keyboard and I absolutely love it. The keys feel great, and are very responsive. Love that it has an audio volume knob on it. Tried that out and it works good, so no more fiddling around with the volume control on my headset. The one thing to this keyboard that I’m a bit leery of is the cable connection – there is no strain relief on it, and I can see it possibly wearing out prematurely. It’s located at the back of the keyboard, so that’s good, but a better design there would have been nice.

    good keyboard
i bought this keyboard to replace a keyboard i broke trying to modify bc i didn’t like how it came out of the box so i bought i keyboard i knew i wouldn’t want to modify so far my favorite feature is the volume knob i never use the specialty button that’s next to it personally i never found much use for it the large keys have minimal rattle so little it doesnt even matter this keyboard also sounds good and i like the software the wrist rest is nice even tho its hard plasticdownsides when u lock your computer your rgb preset will go back to rainbow vomit wich i hate so i always dim the lights when i lock my pc second the keyboard freezes like the rgb stops moving and the volume knob stops working only fix i have found is unplugging and plugging the keyboard back in

Pros:-Software’s great and easy to use for macros / adjusting rgb.-You can save the per key rgb settings to the keyboard itself, and simple effects works without the iCue software running.-Build quality is good, the aluminium frame is solid and looks nice.-Volume roller and multimedia keys are super useful.Cons:-It’s LOUD. In addition to the CLACK you get from bottoming out, you get a PING that rings for half a second as the key bounces back up.-Non standard bottom row. The keyboard has a different key spacing for the bottom row from other keyboards, which means the keycaps will not be compatible with standard replacement sets. In addition, any keycap sets you customize for this will not be usable on other keyboards that you might be replacing with in the future.

bought this mouse because i wanted a us layout in europe. works great and i love the keycaps i bought for it. you can set up the light in the app, i have it in a static white and where i have red keycaps its slowly switches from red to white. only bad thing i noticed is that a lot of dust gets stuck in the are between the arrow keys, numpad, enter – that area. could be a bit big for some setups, but its perfect for me
