Incredible value, Don’t need a head unit.
We had a janky speaker setup with duct tape holding wires in place and speakers mounted on the t-top bars and an old wonky head unit. Ripped all that puss out. The boat looks so much neater. Installed these speakers which sound great for $65. Absolutely fine for boating. Is it a $1000 system with subwoofers and 4 speakers? No. It is two 6.5 inch speakers that pair instantly with your cell phone which will allow you to clear up console space from an old crappy head unit and let you play just what you want off your Amazon prime music subscriptiopn or whatever other music you want to play. This works and is plenty loud. The Bluetooth was immediately recognized and paired. LOOOOVE this solution.

These are great so far
The sounds quality is great and everything works as it should. Time will tell if they hold up. You need to run power to the primary speaker and if you want to still use them with your radio you need to run RCA cables between the speakers to the radio. It’s not complicated, but, installing them on a boat can be challenging.

The best decision when it comes to installing a stereo this is a great alternative to drilling holes for a head unit. You simply get power to the first speaker and bridge the speaker wire from one to the other. Then you play your music of choice from your phone using Bluetooth that is built into the speaker. Exceeded my expectations
Based on the price, my expectations were low. It showed up quickly and using the supplied template, installation was easy. It would be really nice if they would build a power switch into the main speaker, but adding a switch is no big thing. I tested it with everything sitting on the deck and I was a little concerned how tinny and weak it sounded but mounting it into a space with some volume (depth) added full bass. The sound is clear and balanced, Bluetooth pairs easily and volume control from my iPhone X is responsive. Overall it exceeded my expectations and Iâm very pleased.

Sound isnât great
Sound is just ok, and on thing to note: if just replacing 2-wire passive speakers, you need more to hook up the active power too. I donât have those wires and was only able to get the one passive soeaker to work. The othwr speaker needs active power and then appears to hook up to the passive one but i canât get any sound from it as just a passive speaker. So no bluetooth yet for me and only one speaker hooked up.
