Mini body camera – durable, easy to connect, landscape mode only.
Iâm giving this action camera 3.5 stars but rounding to 4 because description is fairly accurate. But this camera is also fairly limited. But you get what you pay for. This is like what the insta360 would be if it didnât have all bells and whistles. This is more similar to a cordless dash cam for your car. This can also be used as a web cam for zoom calls, meetings, etc.First the good: It seems to be fairly durable. Itâs very light weight and the package comes with all the mounts and attachments you will need in many situations. The picture is up to par. Different resolutions to choose from in the settings(which requires the app). Quick recording, this can be used immediately if needed without opening the app.The bad: Itâs permanently on wide angle. Itâs permanently on landscape (horizontal) so you can only record with this positioned vertically, which doesnât make sense. They shouldâve put the orientation of the physical camera horizontally. Thereâs no monitor (like the Insta360) so you have to download an app, which is on the instructions, to be able to view your shot with your phone.Then to connect it you have to join the cameraâs WiFi, so if youâre doing anything else with your home WiFi youâll have to disconnect from it. The app has basic settings for resolution and lighting but no where to change the orientation. Also this camera has no automatic stabilization, so the picture will shake if you shake. All in all itâs a good sacrificial camera if you need a wide angle shot in landscape mode.

works as a makeshift bodycam, great for working on equiptment.
I work around industrial equipment, and when diagnosing problems, a video is worth a thousand words. You can record your repairs while you are doing them, instead of. trying to hold your phone and describe what you have done after the fact. I can also leave it recording, so I catch the intermittent failures that normally you would have to try and play back “in your mind”. It is small enough to slip into a machine, giving you an extra set of eyes, and letting you see inside the smallest space. Sound pickup is great, and it works OK in low light, but having a light will help with clarity.

Expendable Action Cam – Gets the Job Done (Mostly)
Let’s be realistic, this is a budget product. I bought it to use when I didn’t want to risk putting my premium action cam underwater or in situations where it might get damaged. For example, under a 4×4 vehicle for off-road shoots, or if I was concerned about risking it on a wakeboard or other water crafts, etc…I bought it specifically to see whether I could capture some usable 4K data or footage. If I happened to lose it, then hopefully the shot I got was worth losing a low-end 4K action cam. So far, the only thing I haven’t tried is the underwater housing. But after the results I got from the other shoots, I’d say the footage is acceptable. I wasn’t expecting to win any Oscars or anything that would blow my mind. Like I said, I was just looking for an inexpensive action cam so I could grab some video from challenging angles without risking an expensive camera. For that purpose, I’d say it did its job. So all things considered, I’m going to give it four stars for now. I’ll report back if this thing dies prematurely.
