This APC Smart-UPS is designed for IT professionals or network administrators to maintain business uptime and continuity. The 1500VA line interactive 2U rackmount UPS provides pure sine wave power to support critical electronics during power disruptions. It comes with NEMA 5-15P input and 6x NEMA 5-15R outlets, including one switched outlet group. It has a preinstalled Network Management Card for UPS network-based monitoring and management. It comes with PowerChute Network Shutdown that provides graceful shutdown of physical servers, virtual machines, and HCI clusters. The UPS can connect to EcoStruxure IT or third-party centralized management platforms. It provides surge protection against lightning strikes, power sags, brownouts and surges. The SMT UPS has a 3-year warranty, and the built-in lead-acid battery has a 2-year warranty.

Proven and consistent technology
I’ve always used APC UPS’s and this one didn’t disappoint. It was easy to set up with an additional 2-post rail kit and works well as always. No issues whatsoever.

Don’t bother buying the built-in network card now that Powerchute is a subscription.
What an atrocity that APC was purchased by Schneider. Be prepared to spend another $300-1000 in licensing if you want to use the network card included in this unit. Previously, Powerchute Network Shutdown was included. Now for a one year license it is $244 or six years is $1270. So basically you’re paying for the ****ing UPS twice during its lifetime just to be able to shutdown a vmware host connected to it.**** you Schenider and your greedy French and Chinese overlords.Go download the NUT client from github to manage your vmware host for free if you mistakenly waste money on a POS network card-enabled UPS like I did.
