New laptop won’t connect with my Smart TVs; Microsoft rep “brickrd” it during “help” session.
The laptop hardware might be functional; I couldnt get Windows 11 to function. After spending hours trying, I went to Microsoft for assistance. The Micrfosoft “help” agent bricked it. The “Recovery” IUSB didnt work either.The keyboard didnt work — the Windows 11 “Accessability” settings had disabled the keyboard. I fixed the setting but I couldnt connect the new laptop to either of my 2 existing tvs ( a Samsung and a Visio). I went to Microsoft’s Quick Assist siote and got a Microsoft rep named “Dev” live to assist. Apparently, the new laptop couldnt detect either of the tvs and the HDMI connection didnt work either. Maybe incompatibie HDMI standards. He took control of the computer and tried to do a Custom Install of Windows 11. In the middle of that process, Dev “bricked it”, disconnected it from the internet, and disappeared. It got stuck at a prompt looking for a “driver”. I tried to boot it from the Recovery USB but it is frozen mid-install. Microsoft wont support Windows 10 so I cant simply revert to the old software. Instead of some reasonable backwards compatibility, Microsoft wants me to toss my old tvs
