Only downside for me is that the brightness will automatically adjust itself.
I love this Monitor! All I Play is DayZ Standalone and Rotmg and I went from playing on a 50 inch 720p TV to This Peice of Hardware! After looking into TONS of Monitors i accidentally stumbled on this one!The ASUS Tuf Gaming Monitor, The name itself packed its own punch and had me wanting to learn more. AMD Freesync, dynamic Game Visual modes so you can find the right screen setting for any game, 1ms response time, 165hz for a maximum of 165FPS.I Ordered it and awaited it’s arrival.About 3 days later it arrivedIt took about 10-15 minutes to unbox and put together, the stand connected to it is Very sturdy and well made, its what I hold onto when moving the monitor around. The screw that holds the Foot of the stand into place can loosen up on its own and you might need to re tighten it after moving it a few times, no issue for me. Looks good, time to test it out.WOW, okay I’ve been writing this review since I started using this thing and it’s been a little over a month I think.It blew all my expectations out of the water,The first Game I booted up on this monotor was DayZ Standalone on the Ps4 and PC (I wanted to see both of them through the monitor) immediately I saw a MASSIVE difference in quality of pretty much everything about the game, it was alot more smooth, clear, HD, Bright. I could literally see characters sitting in bushes from MILES Away!Spotting people and items became way easier, I almost feel like it made me better at PVP but maybe it’s just the added confidence.I LOVE THIS MONITOR. i suggest picking one up before they realize they should Price these things up!!!Only true downside is that the monitor will adjust its own brightness depending on how bright or dark whatever is displayed on screen. It’s barely noticeable unless your switching tabs around.

Great Monitor for a Great Value!
I would classify myself as a casual gamer, and needed a monitor that would not only be functional for everyday computer tasks, but look great whenever I wanted to play high resolution games. This monitor is perfect for just that! It doesnât take up a ton of space on my desk. It was super easy to assemble too. It looks great running all games, and the speakers are decent too! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to start for a gaming monitor!

i like this. i think it’s good. i had a limited budget but was trying to upgrade because every monitor i had access to was giving me migraines. this is significantly easier on my eyes, but it still gives me migraines. i think the quality my eyes need to avoid migraines is probably out of my price range. 🙁 for a normal person these would be fine, great even. i wish they came in white and i wish the buttons were on the bottom instead of the side, with two side by side it’s a hassle to reach them on one.

Updated: Died after 10 months, manufacturer warranty
I used this monitor maybe 3-5 hours daily for 10 months. Just completely stopped working today without warning. I luckily was able to test the power cord, but unluckily that works fine with my other monitor.Loved the monitor before it broke though!Update 10/4/23: Iâm working with Asus directly for a warranty repair/replacement so I will keep updating as that goes!10/23 update: the monitor was processed within days!! I should be receiving it tomorrow or Wednesday to see if itâs back in working order.10/25 update: The monitor was shipped back via FedEx, signature required. We chose to pick ours up. Anyway, it works perfect again. No idea what failed but the repair was processed super quick and easily. Took 10 min to request the repair online and two weeks later the monitor is back on my desk. Bravo Asus!TLDR: monitor stopped working but Asus manufacturer warranty repair was seamless. Extremely happy customer.

Good enough for the kids
I purchased this for use with a hand-me-down computer. The display looks good enough and the 1080p resolution is great for ensuring games will run well for the kids without stressing the older hardware. I set the refresh rate to 100Hz and limited the framerate to 98FPS to keep things in check.The VG279Q3A does have a DisplayPort connection; it includes an HDMI cable, it does not include a DisplayPort cable. I assume you may need a DisplayPort cable if you wish to use the higher refresh rates. I used a DP cable and all refresh rates were available in Windows’ display settings, but refresh rates higher than 120Hz do not appear in the Nvidia app.

I suggest that you Don’t by this monitor. Working great for the past couple of months, then after that sometimes the pixels Mest up then fix itself. so, on so forth Tho. Second and most annoying is the power cord to the monitor, it’s so sensitive it shuts itself off and I would have to readjusts so the monitor cord to turn it back on. Don’t buy this monitor go to your local store get one off the shelf that you would enjoy.I even have issues with the HDMI cord as well to my gamming laptop. I would have to unplug it and plug it back in, brought a new one same thing. NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR YOURE TIME. HOWEVER, I SAY THIS DID COME EARLY THO. NO RECOMADATION TO ANYONE AT ALL……..

Está muy bien, lo uso como segundo monitor ya que manejo un 2k entonces este de 1080 se nota la diferencia pero se ve bien, si lo recomiendo y por el precio está bien, los controles del monitor ayudan mucho para mejorar todo, para que se vea mejor

I purchased this monitor almost a year ago when I got a new computer, and it has worked wonderfully. The picture quality is absolutely amazing, and I love how it supports a higher FPS. The rectangle shape is very nice, the screen is very bright, and the picture is very clear.

Lo compre para mi Xbox Series S y la verdad se ve bien. Los 120hz son nativos en la xbox y no tiene nada de ghosting. Recomendado si buscas un monitor “barato y de buena calidad.”
