The Bose TV Speaker helps you hear your TV better. It’s a small sound bar that clarifies speech and improves overall TV sound. Inside the TV speaker there are two full-range drivers angled to deliver wide, spacious sound and a center tweeter specifically focused on elevating vocals. Built-in Dolby decoding helps further enhance this compact TV speaker’s audio capabilities to deliver a more realistic and satisfying listening experience. Designed with simplicity in mind, this small soundbar only uses a single connection to the TV via an optical audio cable (included) or an HDMI cable (sold separately) and has you up and running in minutes. At just over 2″ tall, the Bose TV Speaker is a compact sound bar that can be placed just about anywhere. And small LED lights on the front of this small soundbar turn on and/or change color for visual confirmation when certain features are enabled. They also blink in acknowledgement of volume changes. The Bose TV Speaker has HDMI-CEC, which allows the TV and this small soundbar to communicate when connected with an HDMI cable. Meaning when you turn the TV on, the TV speaker will automatically turn on too. With this technology, you can even keep using your current TV remote to control the volume of this compact soundbar. However, the Bose TV Speaker comes with its own remote. And on it, you can enable “dialogue mode” on the TV speaker to elevate vocals even more or press the “bass” button for some extra depth. This compact soundbar also is a Bluetooth soundbar. Simply press the Bluetooth button on the remote to pair your device to this Bluetooth TV speaker and wirelessly stream your favorite music or podcasts. You can also expand your system at any time by adding a wired subwoofer to the Bluetooth TV speaker for a more home-theater-like experience. The Bose TV Speaker is compatible with the Bose Bass Module 500 and 700 and requires the Bose Bass Module Connection Cable or a standard 3.5 mm audio cable, sold separately.

Customers say
Customers find the soundbar delivers good sound quality, is extremely easy to set up, and is compact enough to fit under the screen. They appreciate the voice clarity, with dialogue being perfectly clear and the dialogue mode working well. The functionality, quality, value for money, and Bluetooth connectivity receive mixed reviews – while some say it works well and is solid, others report it doesn’t work, the speakers are poor quality, it’s not worth the price, and Bluetooth connectivity issues are common.

Tiny, mighty Bose!
I adore this speaker bar! This lets me focus on speech/dialogue without forfeiting great bass and is surround-esque.It is very sleek and streamlined. Itâs tiny, but powerful! As a Bose brand speaker, the price was excellent, and a great value. The sound fills my whole living room like I had full surround(which I donât). The remote control is simple and easy to use, when you actually need it. The remote pairs with your main one(I have a TCL Roku smart TV). Iâve had this for about six months and I am completely, happily satisfied.

Bose Quality
Easy Install and setup. Note that the TV remote volume control will only work if you install with USB rather than the included optical cord. Sound with my 5 year old Samsung is good on broadcast TV and much better on Netflix, etc. movies. Sound is great on Bluetooth music stream for a speaker this compact. Bass control is great but treble makes for a bit thin sound on certain listening. High quality as expected from Bose. Wish there was an app associated with the soundbar so I could pair with other Bose speaker I own.

This is a TV speaker NOT a soundbar
For the money this is a nice speaker. Itâs NOT a Soundbar , itâs a TV speaker. While itâs not near as nice as my Sonos which was twice the price, and has no app control, itâs works great for my 2nd home. It does have a glitch. If you connect to it via BT to play music , it does not automatically go back to the optical input from TV, I have to unplug it and plug it back in . It does have an HDMI ARC input as well so you can control volume from your TV if it has ARCNice little basic remote as wellWhy did you pick this product vs others?:Price and brand nameÂ

Good audio quality but lacking key features
This soundbar had very good audio for the price, however I ended up returning for two reasons: it didn’t have wired ethernet connectivity, and it didn’t have an LCD display so you couldn’t tell what was going on (what volume it was set to, etc.).Pros:â Has a dedicated Dialogue Mode for making voices stand out from background noise and music.â Its small footprint fits easily under most TVs without being obtrusive.â Very easy to connect and get running, typically just one cable.â Has a balanced, rich sound for its size, typical of Bose audio.â Convenient for streaming music from your phone.Cons:â While it has a bass boost, it won’t deliver room-shaking bass without the optional subwoofer.â Designed for enhanced stereo, not immersive surround sound effects.â Lacks advanced features like Wi-Fi, ethernet, or multiple HDMI inputs found on other soundbars.â No Display – status lights are present, but a full text display would be helpful for modes/volume.Overall it was a decent sound bar, but for the price I ended getting a JBL 300 sound bar because it sounded just as good, and had all the features that I wanted (in particular the ethernet port and the LCD display that the Bose lacked).

Finally, a simple solution to the madhouse of audio alternatives for television
I had a Bose one piece sound system many years ago. Really enjoyed it. It eventually gave up so I started down the dark hole of soundbars. In about 10 years I’ve had 3 and with each one there was always something that wouldn’t sound right, mainly when someone talks and there’s music in the background, only the music that’s supposed to hang back instead blares like a foghorn and drowns out the dialogue. I have to admit the last one, a Vizio, soundbar only, no subwoofer or surround speakers, did it’s best to keep the dialogue to within reach. It’s main issue was it wouldn’t cooperate with a Vizio TV, wouldn’t maintain a setting if you had the ability to pay it. So, I’m back to the simple Bose TV Speaker. Ya got two settings, bass and dialogue. There are others but they don’t involve audio. It plugs into my Vizio TV via HDMI eARC (cable not included), but it does come with an optical cable and I plugged it in but isn’t required. ARC allows my TV remote and Fire Stick remote to control the soundbar volume which is the only thing you really need to control once you set the soundbar with it’s own remote to be controlled by other devices and the sound setting you like (your choice of two or both at the same time, why not go for it). I can hear music, I can hear voices, I can hear them both at the same time and anyone who says you need a small room to use it in is probably wanting more than the bar can deliver regarding audio. It’s plenty loud. Where I sit fairly far from the TV and the room is kind of open concept leading to not open concept, like rooms elsewhere. I can hear it through out the house. Good bass too. Okay I said two settings but the bass actually has 3 levels. The longest portion of the entire setup from unpacking to connection and listening was the unpacking. It’s packed pretty well. Good things come in small packages they say, this is one of them. I recommend this to anyone who doesn’t require sound bouncing from the holes in their shoes and from the coffee mug sitting beside them. It’s a great sounding speaker that removes the requirement of having to take a course or two in sound engineering and makes listening to TV simple and comfortable and enjoyable again, you don’t have to constantly change the audio settings to work with the video. It just works.

I bought this sound bar from Amazon, but after receiving it, I got some concerns about the product and warranty.Apart from an Amazon shipping label to my name, it also had another shipping label saying: âShipped from Bose replacements and returnsâ to AmazonWhat? Is it a refurbished unit? Do I have a warranty on it?A call to Bose Canada confirmed that the unit is new and it has a one year warranty starting from the date of purchase. Amazon is a reseller for Bose.If that wasnât the case, I would have returned it and bought the same model from Bose Canada (Same price and free shipping). They also have refurbished ones with a full year warranty for $50 less.I am very happy with the unit.I like the function âDialog modeâ as it greatly improve the clarity of dialogue and vocals in movies. There is plenty of Bass for watching a movie or a concert. There is a port to connect an extra subwoofer but IT HAS TO BE A BOSE UNIT and they are very expensive.Few comments:I wanted to place the sound bar on the back of my TV, but, as the remote uses infrared(IR) to communicate with the bar, it has to be in line of sight.I plugged it to an HDMI(ARC) TV output and the great thing is that the sound bar automatically turns ON when I start the TV and shuts down when I turn the TV OFF (The sound bar is monitoring the signal from its HDMI input). Using the TVâs HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) port allows you to use your TV remote to control the power, volume, and mute functions of the sound bar.If using Bluetooth, my TV (LG) remote controls the output volume of the sound bar.I see people complaining about the lack of volume control from the TV remote when using the optical cable. This has nothing to do with Bose: The optical signal of a TV cannot control the volume on any device. It only send sound signal.
