Heavy but solid
If you need a Magic Keyboard at a better price, this is the way to do it. It comes with a case so you can remove it easily then it sticks with strong magnets in either the portrait OR the landscape position which is something a lot of keyboard cases do not do. Very solid and well built. The keyboard is pleasing to the touch and types very well. Once your iPad is in, it is secure and well protected. Be warned, it is heavier and thicker than other cases out there. That doesnât bother me particularly but you may feel differently. A quality and functional case.

Well made folio, stable & good keyboard.
Arrived quickly, so less chance of breakage. Like the functionality of the case. The removability of the iPad for use as a camera & drawing table is really nice. It is well made, seems sturdy & heavy enough that the iPad Pro is not tipsy while working on my lap or on the couch. Keys have a nice feel & backlighting is a plus. Seller seems to offer customer support in the package with the case. Havenât needed customer support, but that is a great thing to see, right in the box. After the first 24 hours⦠I am giving it 5 stars.Â

Great typing experience and protection for a 12.9″ iPad Pro
This is a great case. Typing experience is really nice – like an old laptop full-size key experience.I have an iPad AIr 4th Gen with Apple’s Magic Keyboard and this case is 95% of that experience…plus the iPad (I bought the 12.9″ version of this keyboard case for an M1 Pro 12.9″) is protected, unlike with the Magic Keyboard.Only ding is that the hinge, while stable (device is great on your lap or on unstable surfaces), isn’t smoothly adjustable. It kind of flops between two places. The upside is, unlike Apple’s case, you can actually place the iPad higher on the magnet OR in landscape. So it isn’t a functional complaint, really, but more of a smooth usability issue. The trackpad works very well although it’s weird being back to a physical click vs. haptic. The case wraps around the pencil, if you have one. Unlike a lot of cases, the little strap is generous and fits over a pencil with a silicon case on it – which is nice. The case into which you place your iPad, however, does not support charging of a pencil with a case. I have another EST case with the same design (no keyboard) with the same issue. It’s a shame – they could easily include a cutout to allow the pencil to sit against the iPad’s metal frame to assure charge. I’ve just cut away the plastic on both cases across the charging area. It was easy to do, does not mess with the case’s structural integrity, and isn’t noticable.Case is heavy, with an iPad 12.9″ M1, but I’m not using the device as a portable device and so it’s nice to be able to quickly move from keyboard to standalone iPad without wrestling with a case OR leaving your iPad naked and vulernable. Can’t have nake iPad Pros!Nice work ESR.

Excellent Keyboard for the iPad Pro 12.9.
I am writing this review with the keyboard. It is much better than my Magic Keyboard which costs 3x more with less functionality. The first noticeable difference is the actual keys which have a nice satisfying feel and travel. The keys are also backlit which makes it easier to type in dark environments. It is Bluetooth connected and has a USB-C charging port but you will not be able to plug in one cable to charge the keyboard and iPad at the same time, thatâs just a limitation of using BT connection without the pogo pins. Now, about the connection, Apple must have some restriction for 3rd parties so they cannot use the pogo bins, because it would be logical to make this keyboard with that compatibility. It would also make this keyboard a little lighter without a battery. However, overall – this is a much better typing experience than Apple Magic Keyboard for a fraction of the cost. There are not many keyboards out there I could ever recommend, except this one which is definitely well thought out by ESR.As a major bonus, the case around the iPad is removable from the keyboard giving you protection without having to carry the keyboard with you.

This is a very versatile iPad case with a keyboard
This case offers great protection for the iPad and the magnet which holds the ipad case to the keyboard structure is very strong and secure.Pros:1) The case allows the iPad pen to stay in place to remain charged when not in use, and the case itself has a flap which securely fastens magnetically over the pen to keep it safely in place when the case is closed.2) The keyboard is excellent to type on and the backlights make it easy to use in dimly-lit places.3) the ipad is held in its own case which can be pulled away from the magnet back of the keyboard case for those times when you want to use it as a handheld tablet.4) since the ipad case itself can be removed, it can also be rotated so that you can type on it in portrait mode as well as landscape mode.Cons:1) it is kind of heavy, so it’s not ideal when you’re trying to keep the weight of what you carry to a minimum2) when the ipad is rotated to portrait mode if you don’t place it properly it’s hard to reach the top row of keys.

Transformational
Really nice, a bit heavy but that was expected. Really turns an IPad into a laptop

I’ve been using the ESR iPad Pro 12.9 Case with Keyboard for several weeks now, and overall, I’m very impressed. If you’re looking for a more budget-friendly alternative to the Apple Magic Keyboard, this is one of the best options available. The keyboard itself is responsive and comfortable to type on, with a layout that feels natural and well thought out. The trackpad is also a welcome addition, offering smooth navigation and solid gesture support that makes the iPad feel more like a laptop replacement.Build quality is excellent for the price point. The case feels sturdy and well-constructed, offering great protection for the iPad. The magnetic back and adjustable angles make it easy to find a comfortable position whether you’re typing, sketching, or watching videos. The biggest trade-off, and really the only notable downside, is the weight. The case does add significant bulk to the iPad, making it noticeably heavier than using the device with a simpler folio or keyboard cover. That said, the added protection and versatility may justify the weight for many users. All in all, the ESR case with keyboard strikes a great balance between performance, protection, and price. It’s not as sleek as the Magic Keyboard, but for a fraction of the cost, it delivers an impressive user experience. Highly recommended for anyone who wants productivity on the go without breaking the bank.

This is a fantastic choice for those looking for a well built, protective keyboard case with a responsive trackpad and strong magnetic attachment. While itâs slightly heavier than some alternatives, the build quality, usability, and flexibility make it worth it.It has a very responsive keyboard and trackpad. The magnetic connection is strong and holds the iPad firmly in place.Portrait mode even with the keyboard attached. This case fully protects the iPad, covering the edges and back while maintaining a sleek design!!!

Great value, does what its supposed to.Points to consider:- It does add weight to the iPad, but that’s a given. So, when I’m not using the keyboard, I just detach it and the weight is no longer a problem. This is a great aspect of this 2 piece case.- The iPad will wiggle – at some angles/orientations – more than others. But if you’re just using the keyboard and have it placed on a flat surface, that isn’t really an issue. If you’re not on a flat surface, and are using a pen a long side it to annotate or sketch something, you may find the wiggle annoying.- It takes a second to connect – nothing too long – after it falls asleep. Its great for saving battery, and the battery on this thing is quite good in my experience. So if your use involves using the keyboard, then taking a small break from the keyboard (enough for the KB to fall asleep), and then using it again, the small duration it takes to reconnect could start to get annoying.- Other than that, it’s a good kb, and great for the price. Would buy again
