    Works great and huge savings
8 yr old Hayward system was flagging no sensor flow. Was shocked the part at local pool supplier as well as dealer was nearly $200 more than this. Seems a simple enough part so I tried this one first and it works just fine! The other one literally broke apart as we changed it out so it was definitely bad.

Way cheaper than hiring our local pool company to replace. So simple to install and works great!

    It works well
I bought this product based on a YouTube video recommendation. Im not a plumber or electrician but owning a pool can get pretty expensive. So, I like to look for ways to save without taking shortcuts. If its a simple project or something I feel I can do without damaging any components, I do it. I compared this product with similar products, went back and forward with reviews and took a week to figure it out. After, thorough research I went with this one which is actually a Hayward replacement part. It cost more than other brands but I did not want to take the risk. Also, this vendor had good reviews and a good return policy which made me feel comfortable about this purchase. I learned a long time ago that you get what you pay for. Since this was a DIYS project I decided to pay for the Hayward brand. I still ended saving probably $200 – $300 or more if I would have had the pool repair company come out and do it. Based on the location of my automation system and salt cell, it took me 15 minutes to do the whole replacement. Once my pool was turned back on within 15 seconds the flow switch kicked in and my “no flow” message disappeared. Cross my fingures and I hope I do not have to come back to update my review anytime soon. I gave it a 5 star for the look, feel and quality of the product. I received the exact description of what was being sold in the vendors site. And it was the exact same look as the original one I replaced. I had my original for over 7 years without any problems. Hopefully, this one lasts as long. As of this date it works well and I would recommend this product.

    Can’t install it
I have a Hayward system with a Hayward salt cell. Recently I received a No Flow advisory and everything I read pointed me to replacing the flow switch. No problem. So it arrived today. Took the old one out, tried putting the new one in and it won’t go all the way in the receptacle without hitting to what feels like an obstruction. Can’t get it threaded in. It’s hard to remove but when I do, I try the old broken one and it fits in just fine. The new one, not so much. The new one looks identical to the old one. I’m stumped and at this point irritated beyond belief since I’ve had to do so much maintenance to the pool recently, and this is just the next headache to deal with.

    So far, so good
I installed this device a few months ago and it’s been working well. I’ve seen some reviewers complain it stopped working after a few months, so I can’t really speak to its life expectancy, but so far, so good.

Heyward Flow Sensor is worth the money.
This item was a very easy fix to my salt system. It took 5 minutes to replace the old one that was not working any longer. It may cost more than other off brands but the Durability and quality of the Heyward brand makes me feel it will work 4 to 5 years without have to be replaced.

Perfect water switch replacement for my Aqua Rite (Hayward) salt system
The water in my pool started to look funny the other day and found that my Aqua Rite (Hayward) salt system was displaying no water flow on the panel (Who knows for how long). I tried different things including inspecting the existing water flow switch by removing it from the pipe and also checking that in fact there was water flowing in the system. I found no issues.I immediately suspected that the water flow switch was bad as it was the original one from 2005 when we installed the pool salt system. I called the pool store here in my city to inquire about price and availability of a new Water Flow switch. The store that I called is not the regular mom and pop store. It is a large corporation and they have stores in most cities here in California and Arizona (Maybe in other states also). They are probably National but anyway. I called the nearest store to my house gave them the name of my salt water panel and description of the part I wanted. The employee that answered the phone appeared not happy that I called and told me that they didn’t sell the part. I told him that it was a hayward part (They sell Hayward pool equipment) but no he told me no they couldn’t order it.I Called another of their stores (Same chain) in a neighboring city and found the employee that answered the phone very friendly and told me that yes they could order the part for me and it would cost me $210.00 dollars shipped with a 1 week delivery date. I politely thanked him and hanged up the phone. That same part that they were trying to sell me for $210.00 was $33.70 here on Amazon + Tax + 1 day shipping for a total of $40.39.How in the world can these brick and mortar stores survive with charging these ridiculous prices ?I am very happy with this product. Upon receiving it I installed it on my pool system (1 minute) and after a few seconds the salt system panel started showing water flow again. As easy as that. Highly recommended.

Saved me a lot of money replacing this myself
Worked as one would expect. This is a really easy part to replace yourself on a goldline SWG. A local pool store tried to sell me the part for 300 dollars. You literally unscrew the old one and screw in the new one. Just make sure your switch is in the correct orientation to the water flow. There is an arrow on the plastic body to guide you. The other end plugs in to the SWG box. The hardest part is figuring out that this is the part that needs replacing. The way I figured out for sure this was the culprit was to cut the cord and then connect the two wires at the end. This bypasses the switch. If it is truly the switch that is bad the SWG should now work. If it still doesn’t work then it is something else and you could connect another phone jack to the end of the remaining wire and reuse the switch. This is a safety device so perform the aforementioned process at your own risk.

First off, these things are ridiculously expensive for what they are. However, I have no choice to get one when it breaks, so what can you do…so won’t ding a star, but hayward, you need to do better.A reviewer on May 14th 2021 took a picture and said “not hayward…might as well get cheaper knockoff since this is a knockoff”. I got the exact same switch as the picture that was posted. While the tag does not say hayward, i have looked on many, many pool sites that state they are hayward vendors and they sell hayward oem switches…and the picture they show is identical to the one posted on the 14th and the one in the amazon listing. So I am confident mine it a genuine Hayward and think the other person just made a mistake.Anyhow, a lot of people selling these so can’t guarantee anything, but mine matched the picture with the Hastelloy C276 tag and I am happy. That said, i only just installed and tested it for 2 minutes…will update this in a few weeks if i change my mind.

Pricey for such a simple switch but this was the cheapest I could find online that was stated as Hayward original part. Refer to pictures – I can confirm this is the exact same switch I had installed with my original pool purchase 10+ years ago. Hopefully this part will last as long again. Super easy installation and solved my no flow error immediately once installed. The plumbers tape is even pre-applied from the factory. Recommended. Quick delivery (Prime) and easy purchase from seller.

Very disappointed by the life of the product. Lasted less than one year. Purchased in August 2020 and failed in August 2021. Original switch provided by the pool equipment installer lasted 7 years. Relatively simple device so not sure why the price is so outrageous. Ordered 2 from the US for less than 1/2 the cost of this one. Jury is out on those ones, but if I get a year out of each – I’m still way ahead compared to this unit.
