Great Value Performance W/ Smart Home Integration
I was looking at getting HEPA air purifiers since COVID, but never pulled the trigger as they were fairly expensive, but with a newborn on the way and some pets (1 dog, 4 ferrets) I decided now was the time.I stumbled upon these during a lightning sale and bought one which somehow arrived the next day. I was able to quickly set it up and add it in the app. I was pleased with the rather compact size, despite being able to cover a large 1k sqft downstairs area.I put it in auto mode and didnât even realize it was on at first (itâs super quiet in low mode). Air quality indicated green which was a good thing. It sat doing its thing for a few hours and Iâm not sure if it was in my head, but the air felt a bit crisper / fresh. With that said, I wasnât really even sure I needed it as it stayed green the whole time and on low. However, once we started making dinner, I heard the unit kick up into high gear and wondered if the dog (who kept sniffing it) maybe touched the capacitive buttons up top to put it on high instead of auto (there is a lock button to prevent this).To my surprise, the sensor was showing as red and it automatically kicked up the speed to filter the PM 2.5 (likely from searing steaks) it was detecting out of the air. As I was eating i watched the air quality indicator move from red to blue and then back to green and the unit went back into the low / silent operating mode.It was at that point I was glad I made the purchase, and it opened my eyes to the fact that our indoor air quality is not as good as I thought, and I went back into Amazon and immediately purchased another unit (still on discount) to use in our upstairs master bedroom / baby nursery area.The only knock against this air purifier is that it doesnât tell you the PM 2.5 reading within the app or on the air purifier (just says excellent, good, poor). I then saw Govee makes air quality monitors which were also on sale (show temperature, PM2.5, humidity) and bought 2.I put one monitor downstairs on the other side of the house from the air purifier, and you can also set automation in the app so that if the air quality drops at the monitor, it will kick up the speed and filtering of the Gover HEPA air purifiers even if the sensor in that unit hasnât been triggered yet. I put the other monitor upstairs on the other side of the room from the air purifier near the baby crib.For the next few days, I found myself watching the air quality monitor readout of of PM 2.5 bounce around, and found it interesting the various things that cause it to spike (drying hair, opening door to garage, etc). I was fascinated just watching the PM 2.5 number creep up, the spike being detected by the monitor and/or air purifiers kicking into high, and then seeing the PM 2.5 number come back down to zero.After a few weeks, I decided to check the filter on the air purifier near where the ferrets room and dog sleeps to see if they were dirty or what it picked up. I was surprised to already see a decent amount of hair and dust on the washable pre-filter. I cleaned it and put it back in and was happy I went with this one for pets, as it should allow me to get more longevity out of the HEPA filter instead of that getting clogged up by pet hair and dust right away.Overall, the value for money is great, it doesnât have ozone or UV like some other more expensive units, but to be honest I was also reading that ozone isnât the greatest for indoor air quality and not sure how effective the UV light really is on those other units. I like the compact size, yet on high it has impressive air flow and can quickly filter through the air even in my large 1,250 sqft downstairs area. I do wish though that the intake wasnât on the back, as you canât put it right up against a wall, though it does also have 2 inlets from the sides on the rear which will help if you decide to do that.The ability to integrate it into the Govee app and pair with other products for smart home automation is also great. I now plan on getting some Govee dehumidifiers and humidifiers as the monitors have also opened my eyes to our humidity not always being in the ideal range.

Worked when surrounded by fires!
We were just a couple of miles from the Line Fire in Southern California. The house was filled with smoke smell so quickly to the point I was getting a headache. The AC was pulling it in from outside and it was just getting worse and worse.This came super fast and cleared our 3000 soft home in under 4 hours. It was so quiet I forgot it was on and itâs literally been on for over a month now. My chihuahua stopped wheezing and coughing which he did often in the summer months. We have solar so our back slider basically stays open all day so the dogs can go in and out as they please and the AC stays on. So thatâs really saying something that when our little guy comes in he does not have that same coughing and snorting thing he does outside. I never knew an air filter could work this good! Especially with a door wide open.I cant say the same for the fire smell. The only way it would completely clear the air is if all the doors and windows were closed. That being said the AC was still on and pulling in air from the outside. We swapped out the filters for a really heavy duty one but still the smoke smell was coming in. We used this in conjunction with the new filters and it completely disappeared! I mean completely!Itâs very light weight and can be moved to any room. The app is great and has some very convenient features. It lets you put it on the auto function or create a schedule to run. I find that very useful especially if youâre having company who hates the smell of all things sea food and you just smoked a glorious salmon that you brought in the house and thoroughly enjoyed! Let me tell you those picky eaters can still smell it! When our picky eater friend came over she was really impressed that there was no residual smell from the food from the night before.I was going to buy a new hood vent for my kitchen since itâs horribly useless but since I bought this â¦..I havenât remembered I needed one still because it works that well. It sounds expensive but for what itâs capable of â¦â¦â¦â¦.. and how smart it is â¦â¦â¦ itâs well worth the money! I havenât had a single issue with it and Iâve had it running non stop for over a month!

Ãtonnant pour Amazon belgique de vendre cet appareil! Jâai acheté un convertisseur 220-110v on verra pour la suite.
