Product not the same like what Iâm purchasing & missing the item too.
What I purchase is HLS 4K EIS Action Camera, but what I got is 4K Wi-Fi & the box is looks different from what is in the picture that Amazon Sale. Amazon need to doing more better on sale advertising. As soon as Iâm contacting the company who sale it it they respond on me right the way & solve the problem of some missing stuff from the box. Iâm trying the camera & the quality is pretty good. Hopefully still doing pretty good till my vacation in 2 more more. Even the camera doesnât have EIS like what I want & purchase, itâs has pretty good hold on steady when Iâm trying it outside on the bike ride & jogging. Worth to buy & it’s pretty good for 1st time starter action camera for me.I will recommend to purchase this for the 1st time action camera for learn. Itâs easy to learn & pretty handy. Itâs really the real HSL Camera with the new packaging they made.

Affordable and Reliable Digital Camera
The affordability of the camera is hard to believe. I use the camera in car during racing in SCCA. The quaility of the video is great, serves the purpose of recording and reviewing progression of race events as required by the SCCA. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of the options for attaching the camera to the car and especially having three batteries included, which allows me to have fresh battery for each on-track session during the day. A great value! Purchased in April and the camera has been all season as it is October and the end of my racing season.

HLS 4K EIS HCAM10 is a really good action camera (and better than what its own manual says)!
What I really liked (and makes this camera better than what its own manual says):1. The manual claims that you can use a micro SD memory card 8 – 64 GB, but I “mistakenly” bought a 256 GB card when I ordered the camera, before I had a chance to read the manual (yeah, I’m the kind of guy who reads the manual!). The 256 GB card turned out to be working perfectly and, according to my estimation, will be able to hold ~19 hours of 4K video.2. The manual says that you can’t download the highest resolution video (4K and 2.7K) over Wi-Fi to iPhone or iPad using the app, and that you need to transfer these high res videos from the memory card using a memory card adapter. I had no problem transferring both 4K and 2.7K over Wi-Fi using the app.3. The manual says that, in order to use the remote, the camera needs to be turned on (duh!) and in the exact mode you need to use, i.e. video mode if you will use the video button on the remote, and photo mode if you are going to use the photo button, which would mean that the remote would have a very limited usefulness. However, I found out that the only requirement is that the camera is on, but the mode doesn’t matter. It will start/stop video or take a photo depending only on which remote button you push, which is great!4. I don’t recall if they say what the battery life is supposed to be, but I have recorded ~90 minutes of 4K video (assuming that the screen saver is on), on each of the two batteries I received, which is quite good.5. Nice set of accessories.6. Everything else seems to be working more or less as advertised, but see below my remarks regarding EIS.7. The price! What I liked less:1. The Amazon page clearly says that the camera comes with 3 batteries (one in the camera and two among the accessories), which was the main reason I chose this one instead of others with the same specs and price. I only received two batteries, i.e. one in the camera and only another one in the accessory box.2. I tested the image stabilization by attaching the camera to the handlebar of my bike and recording 4K video while I ride, with EIS on. The electronic stabilization works by warping the image in weird and unpleasant ways, so it seems better to just turn it off and learn to live with the vibrations – at least it looks more natural. I wonder how much better the image stabilization in a much more expensive camera (e.g. GoPro) is. Still, 4K video taken without the bike vibration looks great!3. I tested both 2.7K and 4K video, because my monitor is 2.7K, and I was thinking that I’ll save memory space by recording 2.7K. What I found out is that the quality of 2.7K video on a 2.7K monitor is much worse than 4K on the same monitor. On the other hand, the memory card usage for 2.7K video is exactly the same as 4K video (go figure why – must be a software bug), so there is no reason to record 2.7K.4. The iPhone app they recommend to use with this camera is quite generic (doesn’t seem to be for this particular brand/model) and is very limited: I had a similar camera I bought many years ago (much lower resolution, different brand), and that one had a much better iPhone app than this one. However, once I have a remote, I would rarely use the app (if ever), so not a big deal for me.5. For some reason, when I put the SD memory card in an adapter, stick it in my PC and access it as an external drive in File Explorer, I’m unable to rename or delete the files from the memory card, even as an administrator. The only way to delete them is in the camera, and there is no way to rename them. Not a big deal, just a little annoying (and puzzling).Bottom line, I think the camera is really good for the price, and I’d say that most issues I found are minor. I might even update my review from 4 to 5 stars, if they send me the missing battery…[Update] I contacted the seller regarding the missing 3rd battery and, a couple of weeks later, I received a small plastic envelope in the mail which was supposed to contain the missing battery. That would have been very nice, except that the envelope had a hole in it and was empty. I suppose that wasnât the sellerâs fault that the battery was stolen but the fact remains that I didnât receive the 3rd battery, so my review stays at 4 stars.

Nice Camera
We used this for a snorkeling trip and videos of sports games. Itâs easy to use and worked well. Battery life was not long enough for a full game, but it came with 3 so not a big issue. Videos and photos were clear. Good camera for the price.

Core features don’t work, mediocre image quality
When I opened the box, I was quite pleased. The camera itself looked nice and there were a ton of mounting accessories. There was even a cable âleashâ to ensure the camera didn’t get away in rough action… but then I tried to use it. Powering the device up is awkward, it seems like if you press too long or too short on the power/function button it will not respond. When it powers up there is a jingle that plays, but is seems truncated and ends in a click/pop suggesting it is a poor wav or mp3 sound file….Navigating the options and setup comes easy once you get the hang of it, however I found the video/photos to be mediocre, poor in low light. But the thing that helped me to determine to send it back was the time lapse feature.Anyone that understands this feature knows that this is to take a shot every x second(s) until it is complete or manually stopped. This camera doesnât do this. When you change the incremental setting, all it does is change the countdown delay before the shot. Time Lapse = 1 â When you click the shoot button it counts down from 1 and takes ONE shot⦠it doesnât perform a time lapse series. If you set it for 2, 5, or 10⦠the only thing that changes is the countdown to take ONE SHOT. No Series!! I had also noticed that some settings that I made reverted back each time the camera was shut off and powered back on. Finally the mobile phone app to control the camera via WiFi was very basic which allowed you to choose between video and photo and trigger a shot. (I don’t believe it was developed by HLS, but was a generic app, for many cameras)Since I do a fair amount of time lapse shoots, this was a deal-breaker. So, I searched for a website to download/update the firmware that is 9 months old. No website for this company or camera. When I tried to use the customer service email address enclosed it returned an error message. So my last resort was to reach out to the provider via Amazon. I got a reply within 24 hours saying that they are working on it. But this correlates to other reviews I have read about back and forth without a positive result. Any reasonably sized/staffed company should have a procedure and details to update their firmware. This is the 4th action camera I have owned and the first that didnât have a website or customer support that couldnât provide a firmware update.I can also confirm what others have said: There is a card to bribe folks into positive reviews offering either a microSD card or $10 amazon card. This is not a good sign either. If they took this bribe money and put it into better quality the product would stand on its own with delighted customers. In fairness this might have been resolved over time⦠but I have a long weekend ahead and plan on using the camera. I DONâT HAVE TIME TO GO THROUGH A PROTRACTED CUSTOMER SERVICE PROCESS.Given the cost and what I know other cameras in the same price range are capable of I am returning the camera. If folks can use this for mediocre pics and videos without additional features like time lapse, burst, etc. this might work for you.
