this laptop is great for gaming for under 1k
ive seen people say that the battery life isn’t good, but I don’t think those people understand that any time youre using a pc to game on, youre never gonna get more than a few hours unless youre willing to spend thousands on a laptop. the picture quality is ecxcellent. the specs overall are great for under 1k. its upgradable. it also has intel optane to go along with the ssd.ive seen people complain that the backlite for they keyboard wont stay on. ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO. with no use, the light goes off. all you have to do is touch the touchpad and they’ll come back on. im not sure if there is a setting to change that because I havnt looked. I actually prefer that to minimize battery use.while using without gaming, the battery life is actually pretty good.so far ive played terraria and fallout 76, and they both play great on ultra settings. I think im going to install battlefield 5 and see how it runs. not a big fan of the game itself, but that’s the most resource intense game I own, kinda curious how itll run.the laptop is more than vr readyI love how the keyboard feels for gaming and for typing.oh, ive also seen people comment that the laptop would not turn on once receiving…. mine didn’t either, YOU HAVE TO CHARGE THE BATTERY, LOLoh, and I also received the laptop within a day and a half. ordered friday night, and got it sunday.overall I highly recommend

Great laptop
I have really enjoyed this laptop. It’s a laptop and I use it for everything. I have no complaints. Love the green key lights which are great at the plane in the evenings and in the hotels you do not always have the best light. It is heavier than I thought it would be but that is not an issue for me.

Good for beginners, but has it’s issues
I had my laptop about 3-4 years, and it worked well. I would recommend it if it’s your first gaming laptop. I played a lot of games and they all worked well. A problem, though, lies with its material. The laptop itself started to chip over time, definitely recommend covering it in something soft and secure when traveling. Also if the memory or battery breakes over the years, then it’s probably time to get a new laptop, as paying for it to be fixed would be pricey and useless(speaking from experience).

Really nice backlit keyboard.
My biggest dislike is Windows 10. This laptop is forcing me to develop new skills. It is a huge departure from the Vista OS that took me forever to become comfortable with. I bought this laptop to replace my old laptop because the Vista OS wasn’t getting updates. I primarily use the laptop as a storage device for images and music. I am not a gamer other than The Solitaire Suite; which I like very much on this computer. I do surf the web and shop with the device also. I can’t comment on the battery life or the gaming capabilities of this laptop. I really am not sure whether it is a good value. I know it cost more than I expected considering it doesn’t have a DVD burner or player. I like and appreciate the upgraded Ram and Hard drive space compared to my old Laptop. I really didn’t want to buy a laptop that relied on the cloud as I use the device in areas where I don’t have internet access. Do I like it? Yes I do!

My laptop is now 2 years oldâ¦
I bought this laptop on March 17th, 2021 and being almost 2 years old it’s been through hell and back, but it’s still working like new being a pre-owned laptop lol. I purchased the 512 GB one and it sadly only came with 464 GB.Iâve noticed recently that whenever I have too many apps open my laptop crashes with a blue screen and then restarts. Iâm going to try getting this fixed somehow.Update on 8/29/2023: My HP Pavilion 15 laptop has been doing well lately and I’m so happy! No crashes or anything! 😀

I feel as though I’ve been scammed.
I bought this early this year from Amazon, and at first it worked reasonably well. I mostly used the thing to play small video games on Steam, oldschool pixel-art stuff that wasn’t too taxing. I enjoyed it well enough. It had problems with getting a little too hot on occasion, and the battery life was pretty short, but within reason. Otherwise, it seemed okayish. Had it lasted me a few years, I daresay I would have gotten my money out of it.Unfortunately, it didn’t.A few months ago, it wanted me to do a BIOS update. It kept reminding me to do it, so I finally gave in. Big mistake. The install was corrupted, totally botched the thing. And now I was no longer able to boot the computer. I called support from HP, and they were very nice about it. And in the end, after we made a few attempts to get it fixed, they offered to send me the materials for me to send it in and get it repaired, free of charge. I was still under warranty. I even bought the extended warranty when offered! If the rest of the repair went as well as this, I would have been tickled pink.It didn’t.Shortly after I sent the package, I got a phone call that it would be returned to me on December 2nd. But immediately after that, I was sent an email that said if I wanted it repaired, it would cost 500 dollars on account of having third party hardware installed, voiding the warranty. I never even opened up the case. How was there third party hardware in there? I don’t understand!I don’t know who’s to blame for this. Maybe Amazon sold me a laptop that had been modified in such a way. Maybe it’s HP. Or maybe it’s all some crazy mix-up.But at the end of the day, this is my recommendation. Do NOT buy this laptop. Stay away from it. Far away. Stay away from HP products in general. Avoid them like the plague. Even though I know this is unlikely, there is some part of me that truly wonders if this was some scam.Don’t make the same mistake I did. If your’e going to buy a laptop, buy it from someone else. Buy it from ANYONE else. Just stay away from HP in general and stay away from this particular one in specific.Of course, it is possible that I just got super unlucky. You can take a chance, if you’d like. Maybe you’ll have better luck than I.1/5 stars. And it deserves the one, I did get a small amount of enjoyment out of it. But not nearly enough.

Happy Husband
Bought it as a Christmas gift, have a gaming husband, he’s happy with how everything looks and how fast it is. Pleased with the memory too

The packaging was broken, software was defective and corrupted, lot of programs not working, thus wecreturned laptop back. The refund was paid by Amazon as after 7 days Seller didn’t confirm the receipt of the PC. Thanks to Amazon support as amount is not small
