Best strainer ever! Fits everything and saves so much space and clean up!
Works great! So glad I got rid of my large old strainer and got this space-saving, easy strainer! It fits every pot and pan and drains everything so easily! I’m excited to use it to drain oil out of meat, since this funnels everything along the tab at the end and to one spot easier (like a cup). Highly recommend!

Great Little Strainer!
This is a great little attachable strainer. Itâs easy to use – just clip it securely on the pan with its two large clothespin-type clips and drain your water. It has a high lid so hot water doesnât spill over. Seems to fit just about every pot I have. So happy I bought it.

Very handy
This is a must have. Especially if your leaving food in the pan, so easy. Takes up very little storage, unlike big colander bowls.

Customer Review –
Buy it already! Easy to clean, easy to use. Takes up a lot less space than your colander
My kids are currently in the Mac and Cheese phase, and they only want the one that comes in the blue box with the powdered cheese. Easy enough, but draining the macaroni is a total pain since I have to 1, get out my colander or 2, try the “drain the water through the lid loosely on the pot” trick. Option 1 requires tedious washing of the colander and then having to put it away since it doesn’t fit into a drawer. I hate that process so much that I often go for option 2, which results in either incomplete drainage, or the inevitable loss of a few good noodles. Well, I’m happy to report that this little gadget solves my problems and makes making mac and cheese a breeze! The strainer attaches to my 2 quart sized pot easily and the clips are strong enough to hold on pretty tight. I wasn’t sure how this was going to behave, but it’s thick and made of good quality silicone and doesn’t warp or slip out while I’m draining the water. It’s also pretty easy to attach to the pot, even while it’s full of boiling water. I wasn’t sure how that was going to work and worried that I might burn myself, but that hasn’t happened. It’s no more dangerous than putting the lid on the pot. Once the strainer is on, tilt the pot and all the water comes out and the noodles stay in place. Taking the strainer off is easy, but a bit of a struggle because of the strong grip (which is a good thing since you don’t want the strainer coming loose while you’re draining). The strainer is easy to wash and rinse off, and takes up a lot less space than your colander, so I store it in my drawer with my spatula and whisk and other random stuff. I’ve also used this to drain spaghetti noodles when cooking for the entire family in my large 8-quart stockpot and it stays on that larger diameter pot pretty well. It also works on my 10 inch frying pan and 12 inch skillet. It’s ingenious how this little thing will contort itself to fit whatever size pot or pan I throw at it and not let anything slip past it. Amazing. As others have mentioned, I’ve used this to drain the fat after cooking ground beef and it works great.I’ve used this for a couple months now and so far it hasn’t warped, discolored, melted, or done anything except clip on to my pots and pans with a death grip and drain whatever I need. The only thing that this won’t clip to is my cast iron skillet since it’s too thick. Other than that, this thing will clip on to your standard pots and frying pans that are about 1/8 inch thick, even with a lip.Overall, very happy with this purchase. I wish I had bought it sooner. I initially thought $12 was a bit too much for some floppy silicone and two clips, but I’ve come to realize this is worth it.

Great for what it is. I do still prefer a traditional colander.
I bought the Snap N Strain Pot and Pasta Strainer as an alternative to my traditional silicone colander. My previous colander broke, and I am in the process of moving, so I was looking for something on the inexpensive and smaller side that would prove convenient and not bulky when it came time to move to my new place. I intend on buying a more traditional colander, but I thought this would be a great substitute in the meantime. As someone who spends a lot of time in the kitchen, I was really excited to find an easier way to strain my food, finding something that allows me to keep the food still in the pot, rather than having to transfer the food back and forth between the pot and colander. In simple terms, does it strain the food, yes. Were there some challenges, yes. When I first used the strainer, I thought the concept itself was very easy to understand, but I found when attaching the strainer to the pot, you have to really push down on the strainer for it to clip onto the pot and become secured. While I like that the strainer does become rather secure once clipped on properly, it is the struggle to get it clipped on that I find worrisome. When dealing with hot food/liquids, the last thing I want to do is feel like I am struggling with the pot/strainer.I also found that, depending on the size of your food, the food can slip out on the top. I’ve noticed this more so is the case with larger food items or when you have more food in the pot, for example, a family-size box of tortellini. This can prove wasteful if you’re not careful. I recommend a bowl underneath or something to try to catch the food. You also need to tilt the pot quite a bit to get all the water out. I have found that some water can get trapped and you can’t really shake out the water like with a traditional colander.Despite the issues I found, I think this is a great tool when you’re in a bind. I don’t think it replaces all the benefits I have found with a traditional colander, but it does what I need it to do for now. Once I move into my new place and purchase my preferred colander, can I say that this will be moving from its spot in the cupboard? No, I don’t think so.

My favorite kitchen tool
This thing is so simple yet so incredibly useful! It’s made of silicon which doesn’t burn or melt from pouring out boiling water, and it quickly just clips onto the pot and holds on nice and strong. I have been using this for a couple years now and am just getting around to writing a review, so it is very well-tested. I love this strainer so much that I have been giving them as gifts. Not recommended for things like rice or quinoa since the holes are a bit too big to keep them in, but I’ve used it extensively and it works great for for pasta, cubed potatoes, veggies, marbles, ice cubes, pickles, rocks, and some cereals. Also, the strainer will fit on many different-sized pots and containers. I have used it on a small sauce pan, 6 quart pot, 8/10/12 inch skillets, and even a few of my mixing bowls. As a note: I always wash this strainer by hand. It has held up perfectly for the 2 or 3 years that I’ve had it now, and it’s SUPER easy to clean.

I think this is great, and you can do it with one hand! Perfect. I find it fits all my pots, I have the standard 3 pots, small, medium and large. It’s silicone so it bends too and the clip is very secure, I’ve had no issues. I don’t know what giant pots other people have but it works great and fits well. I do think it wouldn’t work well with a lot of stuff in the pot, could come over the seive and fall out, which did happen to me when I cooked too many potatoes!! But its a great purchase!

Bought as a stocking filler for partner as he does most of the cooking (I know I know not recommended to get the house cook a cooking gadget as a gift) but he loves it. Says it’s the best thing in the kitchen, uses most days, loves how easy and quick it is to use. Can use on many size pots and pretty simple and easy to clean also. He likes it more than the fancy Japanese knives I got him so next year I need to up my game and get more like this!!! Would recommend to anyone looking for a different strainer themselves, especially if you have issues with hand mobility as I can use this and I have issues with my hands that normally I wouldn’t be able to use a strainer whilst pouring at the same time. Get one!
