Outstanding Device
I am a huge fan of Amazon products and have purchased most of their tablets, smart components and devices. This Kindle Scribe has become one of my favorite devices. I was unsure if I actually would use this device but once it was in my hands, I wanted to find more reasons to use it. The pencil that came with my device feels and operates as a premium accessory. It can scribe and erase with ease and it feels natural to use. The size and weight is perfect and I am able to use it for long periods without fatigue. The readability is fantastic for black and white material. You can easily increase the size of the font to make it easier to read. In just the normal mode, it looks and feels like I am reading an actual book. I went ahead and purchased the leather case that Amazon sells to give it added protection. It is very thin and I wanted the security of knowing that it will not be crushed while traveling. This device is not only for ebooks. It can be used for writing, journaling and as a daily planner. This device will grow with your needs and there are plenty of apps to expand the capability of this Kindle Scribe. This has become my new favorite in the Amazon ecosystem.

Love love love it! It works great for everything I need it too. I plan and write notes and annotate my textbooks on here and it works great! Would recommend if you like your kindle and want a simple digital notebook

Really increased my productivity
This is very awesome! I love the functionality of digital note taking. It is convenient and saves paper. This really is a great productivity investment. One small but awesome setting is that you can change the font, spacing, size, etc. for ebooks which makes reading so much easier for my eyes and brain.Just some things could be better.1) the responsiveness of the touchscreen with your finger is sufficient but misses regularly.2) you can write notes and make in annotations in most ebooks but not all. This was significant for me as I could not do this with a Bible commentary I use.3) the setup to send pdf to and from the scribe was a bit of a pain. But it does work great once it’s setup. It does have limitations such as you can only have one default email to send your notes to. I would have liked to send some notes directly to certain emails to save some steps on the backend of my workflow, but it’s not a big deal.

Ridiculously Fun
I hesitated over having yet another device, but chose a refurbished Scribe and golly, it is so much fun. I am mostly using it for a digital notebook. I appreciate the templates (various lines and grids and planner pages) and could use some more! We also picked up five kinds of ‘books’ to play with: one with line tracing, one with dot tracing, one with mazes, one with sudoku puzzles, and one with word fill-in (looks like a crossword but the words are given and you find their positions).I appreciate the warmth setting; have gone to a plain kindle after paperwhites and do miss that setting. Very easy on the eyes if you happen to be up in the middle of the night.It is big and a bit heavy, but it belongs on a lap or table rather than held up overhead for reading in bed. The size is great for the custom puzzle book concept, and for taking notes in meetings or on phone calls. Even for doing pesky bookwork! Plus, the ability to write notes on books is remarkably satisfying. There’s a pull-out sidebar to keep things simple, and using the horizontal format setting leaves the book text looking normal while a generous white space awaits your input.Icing on the cake: the reconditioned one I received is definitely like new. Thanks Amazon!

Don’t be afraid to buy one
I don’t understand all of the negative reviews on this revision of the best reader since the DX. I was offered a deal on a returned Scribe and have been using it for a number of days now and can not find anything substantitiated for the negatively poor response it has received.
