Installation Recommendations
To ensure optimal charging, avoid installing the light in areas where trees or buildings may cast shadows on the solar panel during daytime charging, and avoid putting them near the strong light source.
In the Northern Hemisphere, the optimal tilt angle for the solar panel during charging is approximately equal to the latitude of the location, with a margin of error of about ±5°.
Optimal Installation Distance
For optimal lighting effect, install the lights at a distance of 5 to 7 feet from the objects being illuminated.
In the Northern Hemisphere, the optimal solar panel tilt angle is roughly the local latitude (±5°).
Optimal Path-Lighting Pattern
When using a staggered path lighting approach, we recommend installing the lights about 7ft away from other lights.

When The Sun Goes Down 😉
We purchased six of these to highlight some of the features and landscaping around our little backyard slice of paradise. They were extremely easy to setup and control with the AI Dot app. that they require (available for free on the app. store) in order to use. The application is quite intuitive and functions well. They come on automatically at dark with the built in dusk to dawn feature. I can’t speak to the battery life since I use the app to turn them off when we go to bed. I love how they’ve added a fun vibe to our pool area after the sun goes down. I’m thinking of picking up a couple more, and I’ve already recommended them to friends and coworkers! I would say the price to value ratio is “spot on” the money.

Pretty lights for the backyard.
Love these lights. It’s bright and the colors vibrant for the yard. You can adjust the lights up and down to get the angle you want. Make sure you charge it for 8 hours to see if it comes on. I order 6 in total and had to return two of them back, because one wasn’t coming on. It probably was the button went bad. I did get an replacement for 2 lights. Now I have all my lights working. I had watered the lawn and some water got on top the lights. I just wipe it off and they still work. They stayed on all night and cut when the sun comes up. You dont have to worry about cut them off, because it automatically does it for you. It’s not cheap material, so you dont have to worry about it breaking while putting it together. I am happy with my purchase. I got plenty compliments on them. I will purchase in the future.

Great option for smart landscape lighting
EDIT 2025/04/29: The company reached out to me after seeing this review to help with one of the problems I was having with the app. Great customer service!! I’ve updated the review to reflect my incorrect statement.I purchased these to light up 6 trees down my almost 300 foot driveway as well as my house number sign at the road and they are doing the job very well. I think there’s room for improvement, but these are a great product nonetheless with excellent value and one of very few options in this product space.Pros:-Great value for the price-Bright for solar lights-White as well as colors-They are smart lights and can be controlled via an app (AiDot)-Adjustable angle-Came with stakes as well as wall mounts for multiple mounting options-Decent water resistance rating (we’ll see how these hold up in New England weather)-The fact that these can do Bluetooth mesh and can reach all the way to end of my driveway from the house (you will need to space them no more than 40m/131ft apart)Cons:-Brighter than most solar lights but still not as bright as wired smart lights (these are 120 lumens compared to 1200 lumens for Philips Hue Lily XL) although it’s a little unfair to compare considering these are ~1/10th the cost-Connection through the app can be a little slow and finnicky at times-Requires separate hub to connect to home WiFi-Does not connect to Apple HomeKit and there doesn’t appear to be a homebridge plugin that supports these-The end of the light’s housing is clear and shines bright which is way more noticeable than the object you’re trying to light up-The AiDot app is really good but has some limitations that hurt these lights, such as the inability to create a scene with these lights (looks to be reserved for indoor light bulbs) and some limitations on automations you can create. I feel it’s worth mentioning, although I’m not docking stars from this product because of it. The fact that you can control these lights from an app and even create automations with triggers is very cool. I just hope they continue to improve the AiDot app.FYI:-These do not have motion sensors like the SL5 which are also sold on Amazon.-The house in the pictures I posted are lit up by some Govee lights and not this product.

Lights cannot be controlled Manually at all!!!
This company has absolutely NO service at all. The lights do work so I feel the problem is the APP used to control things. I am a retired IT person so can normally figure out tech problems but this is terrible and no one will help. I can’t talk to a human. I get an email stating a “ticket # or something” but no information of what I should do. I reply to the email but no more communication. I played too long with these to send back now so want others to know if it works for you great, if not you are on your own. I also plan to report this to other agencies like BBB, etc. Basically for me the lights cannot be controlled with the schedule but rather turn on at 10:30pm ct and off at 1:30am. I would like to turn them on at 8:30pm but they will only stay on 30 seconds!! If I do finally get real help I will adjust this review but I do not see that happening.UPDATE: They did respond (soon after I submitted this) and they did stick with me on getting it fixed. Since they are in a far away timezone our communications would sometimes be delayed overnight for me. But, they did state that there was a bug and they created a patch and I checked it out for 5 nights and so far it works using the schedule. There is no way to just turn of and on as I would have liked but I made the assumption that it would work so my error. Only reason for 4 start at the moment is I did have to have a lot of patience and time was consumed in that week. ALSO, they did up front offer me my money back, or another set of lights, but I felt since they were offering that I would give them the benefit of trying as they stated they knew what the problem was. So if these will last 3-5 years I will buy again from this company. Lights themselves are really good!

Not sure how to shorten âYouâre silly if you donât buy these.â
100% will buy another set. Iâve had these for 2 months just waiting to see how they do. Tonight I changed my colors to pink to match my nails. Different variety of pink, cuz I chose each from the random palate available, still havenât figured out how to group. Seriously, spend the dollars. These are 1000xâs better than harbor freight. I FREEKING!! Love that I can get high (on life) and change the colors to suit my mood man. Is this not tranquil or what?

All night lights for instant âresort vibesâ
Got a few sets of these lights to add a soft touch to the back yard and I couldnât be happier. Bright enough to add accents (or as my daughter says âresort vibesâ) at night. Stays lit all night. Had to contact support and was blown away by how responsive and accommodating they were. Definitely getting my moneyâs worth.
