Very Nice for the Price!
Very well packaged and thoughtfully wrapped in a protective plastic bag, this little Bluetooth speaker is great for adding some noise to your space, no matter where you are! I highly recommend picking up two of these speakers!I have been taking note of these dbsono products for a while now and every one of their products has amazed me so far! It is important to note the price of their items, which is typically very low. I expect a low quality product but in reality what you’re getting is quite nice! Nice enough that I purchased the Green and Brown version of this speaker with my own money, completely outside of Amazon Vine and I paid less than $17 after tax. I wanted two of these to use at work and I could only get one for review, I just had to know how well they connected and worked together!Connecting to this speaker is effortless and quick! The same can be said for connecting to an additional speaker for that added power. You can even connect to dbsono’s smaller Bluetooth speakers, despite being different models.USB-C charging is effortless, though it does take some time to charge due to the relatively large battery in these larger speakers. You can use this speaker at about 60% volume for many hours, even with the LED lights activated.The LED lights are an unnecessary feature, but they are nice for what they are and its great that you have them if you need them! Of course, you can always disable these lights at any time using the speaker’s push buttons. Should you connect two of these speakers together (same model or no), the LED lights will synchronize.Sound quality will not blow your socks off with this unit, but it is quite good for the price. The bass is lacking for sure, but I found that using these speakers to play lofi music at work is perfect in a relatively small space. Sound is perfectly synced between two speakers, which is nice to see.Connecting via the onboard 3.5mm audio jack is effortless and recognized by your speaker immediately. Once connected via and audio cable, your Bluetooth functionality will automatically cease. Sound quality in my opinion does increase quite a bit over 3.5mm.Overall, I highly recommend this speaker and for the price! I also highly recommend that you get two of them for an even better sound output. The look and feel of this product is of a high quality speaker, without breaking the bank!

No bass to speak of, but lots to like!
This speaker sounds good, but doesn’t deliver bass below 60hz, and the falloff begins around 90hz, so instruments like the double-bass stringed instrument won’t be as loud as they’re intended to be in your music. See the spectrum screenshot from 20hz to 5000 hz that I did in a low-echo environment. The dropoff is strong starting at about 90hz, but otherwise the spectrum looks good, with the loudness at each frequency (the red trace) relatively flat.** Construction and appearanceThe speaker appears waterproof with a good gasket protecting the aux port and charging port. The body feels sturdy, with fabric and rubber protecting impact surfaces. The colors are bright and the RGB lighting is bright. There are modes where the colors rotate that’s particularly attractive. Unfortunately, unlike much more expensive speakers, this speaker’s RGB doesn’t react to music.** PowerThe speaker manual claims that this unit has a 4000mAh battery, and I have no reason to doubt that. It appears to go a long time between charges. It charges via USB-C, but I tried a number of chargers and cables and I could not get it to charge at faster than 4W, which isn’t much. But the 4 hours charging in the manual sounds about right.** ConnectivityThis speaker has standard bluetooth pairing mode, where it is reset and put in pairing mode by holding down the power button for 8 seconds. However, if there’s another device that remembers the speaker, it can connect to it when the speaker is in pairing mode. That makes it a little harder to share between phones in the same house.** TWSThe speaker also has a stereo pairing mode, TWS, where you can connect two of these speakers together. I followed the manual instructions and I was able to pair two speakers easily. The speaker that you interact with to initiate the pairing becomes the left channel and the other speaker becomes the right channel, but you can confirm with stereo channel test videos on YouTube if you’re not sure.I was lucky enough to get two compatible speakers to try out stereo pairing, and WOW, I love this. I was walking around the house, holding each speaker, enjoying the mutating, travelling sound stage that I could create. See the video for an example of this pairing. You need to turn on each speaker individually after TWS pairing, but they connect to each other and your phone almost immediately, and remember which speaker is left and right. Pressing the RGB mode button changes both speakers at the same time and turning off either speaker turns them both off. Nice!

Great All Purpose Speaker At a Fantastic Price
My kids love this speaker. It goes everywhere with them even on the ATV into the woods camping in the rain. I thought surely it would have shorted out, but it is still working. I know they have dropped it several times too, but it keeps up with my teenages. They strap it to the ATV with velcro straps and hit the trails. It connects via bluetooth on the first attempt to all of our devices. It is a great speaker everywhere speaker. It is a steal at under $20 and given what my teenagers have put it through, a super durable steal that is well worth the investment. This is on my list of Christmas gifts for other teenagers in my family. I’m sure it will be even more affordable as the holidays approach. It would be a great gift for a college bound student or new home owner. Everyone can use a portable speaker that gives great sound. It charges the way many electronics charge, via a USB-C connector. The sounds are rich, deep and can be very loud. The bass is deep and full of rumble. We have used it outside for an open air movie night. It connected to our laptop on the first try, then gives up great movie theater like sound. We have to of these and position one in front of us and one behind us. Scary movies are great with this sudo-surround sound setup. We really enjoy this speaker and have seen our meager investment in this awesome speaker pay out many, many times over.
