Outdoor setup
I was putting together an outdoor setup for movie watching and sports and bought this receiver to power my speakers. It is a good setup for my needs, not being overly complicated. It is quick to set up and take down as needed when we host people for tailgates, etc. I have it powering some outdoor speakers. I store this indoors and just bring it out when needed. I can connect this to my projector via HDMI. The sound is good and much more immersive experience over the single projector speaker.

Donât do it.
Awful sound quality. Very tinny, and would make the most horrendous sound if you tried to use hdmi though it. I immediately returned and bought the SONY on I had originally wanted.

Transforms our family room into a movie theatre
This Home Theater Receiver is powerful and has transformed our tv viewing room into a movie theatre – the experience at home has become much more enjoyable getting the same movie theatre quality but in the comfort of my home. Itâs quite powerful – it has 1000 watts and is super easy to connect to Bluetooth. We use it to connect to our speakers to provide a surround sound effect. It is user friendly and easy to set up.

4.5 Stars Really
First – I have an entry- to mid-level set of 5.1 Polk Audio speakers that may have cost near $300. These are legit speakers – not part of a $299 home theater kit – but they are still not high-end speakers. And this receiver is an entry-level receiver, so the whole system together cost me under $500. That said, the sound is REALLY good. I watched Top Gun Maverick and Man of Steel on it, and the sound was awesome. The sound was pumped to the receiver via an optical cable from a very basic TLC 4k TV; I think the sound would’ve been comparable via the HDMI interface. I have a more expensive JVC receiver + Infinity speakers combo upstairs, and those speakers sound more crisp. Don’t know how to explain it other than that. But this receiver and the Polk Audio speakers sound great. Most wouldn’t notice a difference unless they listened to them side by side. Only one thing – this receiver only has bass and treble; it does not have an equalizer.

not enough power per channel
It is a good system, sound quality is good. Remote works great and everything works as planned it just doesn’t have enough sound loudness compared to my Onkyo receiver that quit working. I have this system in my mancave in the garage so need a little more than a standard TV Room. It is plenty good for most the time but when have a big group over it just doesn’t quite boom the sound I want.

sounds great with my speakers
This isn’t really a knock on the receiver as my Harman Kardon it replaced had the same issue. I run it through a pair of Sansui 2501 front speakers, a pair of Boston acoustic rear surround speakers, and an old center channel speaker from a 1990s era Phillips home theater in a box. I have an old car subwoofer but it is unpowered. Am I missing it on much without a subwoofer to justify buying an amplified subwoofer

Decent Audio Quality, but few challenges
1. Replaced my Panasonic Home Theatre SC-BT330 wBlue Ray player by keeping speakers and subwoofer as is as Panasonic one does not have HDMI Ins. It served the purpose. However do see the following challenges1. HDMI out is connected to Epson 8350. so after every power one of Pyle PT865BT, Projector always shows pinkish video and once I switch the Pyle input source to another sources and comes back, it works fine2. I have (assuming ) a Passive subwoofer from Panasonic and connected to SW (connector 10) as shown in the manual, but no sound. tried Brass+ and SW+ to increase volume, display shows increased vaues, but no sound out from Subwooferany suggestions are appreciated.Have been tryin to resolve this pinky/Greenish issues with Amazon and Pyle.Puke says unit is defective and Amazon says they donât have inventory, but I already cut all my cables for thisNeed to see how to get it resolved
