The BASS BLASTER 12 by Rockville is a powered 12” subwoofer perfect for any home theater system or studio application. It will also work for pro audio use in smaller venues. It is built rugged and tough with metal corners, and high quality MDF wood wrapped in a vinyl leather finish. The LED will pulsate to the sound of your music. So if you are playing music it will pulsate to the beat. The louder the music the brighter the LED will get. It also will pulsate to the sounds of gun shots or explosions in a movie or video game. The louder the volume the brighter they get. There is also an LED on and off switch on the back of the speaker if you decide you want to turn it off. What is really cool about this is during the day time you can’t notice the LED, but when you turn off the lights it is an instant party! This is perfect for movie night, karaoke, and house party’s.. . This product uses high grade components from the ground up and delivers clean sound with tight and thumpy bass you can really feel.. . We use a highly efficient class “D” amplifier that is engineered to be perfectly matched with the woofer and enclosure.. . The woofer is top quality with foam surrounds and features a Y30 grade magnet, and a 4-layer voice coil.. . Our subwoofer has RCA inputs and outputs as well as high level speaker inputs and outputs to support any setup.

This sub turns out to be a great choice for my patio. Deep rich bass sound with plenty of power throughout all different types of music. I would highly recommend this purchase. I wish it would have come with a cover to protect it while not in use.

Extremely Bad Manufacturing
I knew I was taking a chance on this purchase because the manufacturer is not what they used to be, but I thought I might get lucky.Unfortunately, I did not get lucky. I knew I was in trouble as I carefully removed it from the shipping box because it hardly weighed anything.After I connected it to the stereo and began listening to music on it there was an extreme amount of distortion, cracking, and rattling coming out of the speaker. This was noticeable at little to no volume. As I turned it up it became worse.So what I can tell you is either they shipped me a defective unit or it is extremely cheaply made and poor design from the manufacturer. I recommend passing on this item.Now I paid close to 250 after taxes for this item. However, I invested 300 in a different subwoofer made by BIC America model F12 and that mother shakes the whole neighborhood at minimal volume and sounds professional.Therefore I recommend the F12 subwoofer by BIC America for 300.00 as the best purchase on a budget.

Put some boom in your room!
I’ve been using this sub with my home theater surround system for several months now. It’s definitely got some good bass and the optional on/off blue LED light is kinda cool, but a little bit distracting since it only comes on when the bass hits fairly hard. It can be turned off, so I wouldn’t count that as a negative. I haven’t had any problems or issues and I’m very pleased with the overall performance. I’ve had several other Rockville products and no issues with those either so I expect it will continue to perform for many years to come.
