It works well.
After years of using a different brand of camera that stopped updating the firmware, and didn’t keep it’s promise of free videos saved for 7 days for the lifetime of the cameras; I had to try something new.I really love this camera, it was easy to set up and the app is pretty good. The price was right, and although I don’t like to be forced in to a plan to view footage, it’s still less expensive than my old camera system. The picture quality is superior, the motion detection is adjustable and picks up the hummingbirds, dog, and humans just fine! There’s an SD slot if I need to use it, so I’m not sure about the storage capacity, but it’s functional.

Terrible monthly service. No bang for the buck at all
Fairly easy to set up but for what they charge for a monthly service and the fact that it has slots for not one, but two SD cards (base station and camera itself) you should be able to record continuously and access that continuous feed whenever like Wyze let’s you do. If it didn’t record it you can’t go back and look at any footage. Terrible monthly service if you ask me. Battery life was also not good at all. I needed to charge my camera at least once every 5 days or so. Video quality was good but if you can only watch recorded footage what’s it matter? Wyze cameras are much better for the money in the cheap security camera department. Connectivity was good but I only had my camera about 15 feet from the base station. It would not keep a connection however when I tried to place the camera about 40 feet away.

Great little cameras for the money!!!
Already had Roku cameras in my house. Switched to them when nest decided to upgrade and make all the older cameras obsolete. I refused to spend $200 a camera because they wanted to change crap up. I was very impressed with the roku cameras I had inside so I decided to add one outside too. This thing was super easy to set up. The only thing I had issue with was the tiny screws and screw holes to mount it. So far it records well. I like that I can pull it up on my phone anytime and check whatâs going on outside my apt. The only time it lags is when I first open the app and click on that specific camera, then once it opens to it, it have no issue with freezing or anything. The only other thing I have issue with is that I donât get notifications when it sees a person and I have it set to notify when a person or my pet comes into frame. I will have to mess around with settings more and figure that outâ¦hopefully. All in all, itâs a really great little camera for a fraction of the price of nest. Quality of the picture is great. Night vision is great. Sound is good. I talk to my kitty cat while Iâm at work and he meows back at the camera so I know he hears me.One thing that I noticed is false is the battery life! It said that it can go up to 6 months on a single charge and that is not true⦠at least not in my experience so far. I charged it fully and by the next day it was already down to 90%. It drops about 10% a day and that might be because I live in an apt and thereâs always someone walking by. Someone who doesnât have as much foot traffic might get a longer battery life out of it.

My first wireless camera
It works really well. It covers a wide area and, if needed, I can simply move it to the new location. Picture is clear enough for my needs. I’ve had it on the front porch, the backyard and in the garage. I enjoy watching it on the TV. For the price, the recording capability is really good. There is about a 1-2 second delay when watching from my phone, a little more on the TV. I’m happy with it. Also, the battery lasts long enough to suit me. I haven’t actually tracked how long it lasts, but it seems to last longer than I thought it would.

Good video quality but the battery doesnât last nearly as long as they say. Set up was remotely easy, and installation was as well. Only qualm is getting it to connect to a router and maintain that connection while finding a good spot outside

FORCED SUBSCIRPTION FOR FUNCTIONS
I have two outdoor cameras. One wired (10-25), one wireless with base (7-25). The outdoor wired has been replaced as my first one just quit (2024). The wireless was not picking up wildlife motion. Could be the recent changes in what they provide for free!!! The wired worked perfect. Snap shots of everything, even a shadow. No issues till two days ago, no snap shots of motion (no subscription). I called and complained. I was told that function is no longer provided without a subscription as an update occurred. OK. So take away my functions due to an update and force a subscription?!?!?! Roku just interested in the $$$$ and subscriptions. Why not make that for new customers from that stand point? I am not pleased. Roku could of offered discount or free months for the subscription since they are at fault. You decide whether to purchase or not. Subscription is now a must to alerts and pictures.
