Sharp, clear image quality; great for general use! ð¥ï¸
Until very recently, I mostly used several smaller, old, cheap LCD monitors with my computer. Switching to this 32″ 4k monitor has been a far bigger improvement in quality than I expected. I kind of thought it wouldn’t matter much for office work if I could match the screen area, since I rarely do anything that really needs the higher resolution. But it really does make it easier and more comfortable for work tasks, and I’m glad that I got it.Perceptually, the colors and images look excellent. I checked the color range with a Spyder Pro, and I have attached those images for reference. Calibrating it did improve the appearance of pictures. Text is easy to read anywhere on the screen for me, and I did not notice any irregularities in screen brightness.My monitor did come with a dead pixel or pixel cluster (or maybe debris). I attached a picture. It doesn’t bother me too much, but if I had ordered this normally, I think I’d consider asking for a replacement.The stand was easy to set up and makes basic height and angle adjustments easy. It has a fairly flat base, which helps preserve some desk space.The joystick control for the monitor option menu is easy to navigate, and you can quickly find most options or changes that you’d like. I appreciate that “sources” is easily accessible without having to dig through the entire menu. The automatic source switch when a new device was connected annoyed me a little at first due to one of my computers going to sleep and waking up, but I was able to disable it in the monitor options menu. The eye care setting is also a great way to reduce eye strain, and I hope to use it as much as possible. I like that they give you lots of pre-set profiles or options, but also allow more granularity in control.I haven’t tried the KVM switch, but I think it’s cool that it has one built-in. I also love the idea of the Ethernet port to pass ETH through to a laptop over USB-C, but I am too attached to my existing laptop dock to use it. If you were setting up a new workstation where you’d be using both a laptop and a desktop computer, this would really check a lot of boxes.Finally, I really like that this is made partly with recycled plastic, and that they’ve made some effort to distribute and package it responsibly. It seems like companies increasingly ignore even the most basic steps they can take to be somewhat environmentally responsible, so it’s nice to see that Samsung is doing something with this monitor.

I used my calibration tool as soon as I set this monitor up, and I was genuinely impressed, colors were spot-on and well within spec. This is essential when fine-tuning skin tones, adjusting highlights and shadows, and ensuring consistency across devices and prints. No color shifting, no weird cast just clean, accurate visuals right out of the box.Image Quality & Comfort:The 4K UHD resolution (3840×2160) on a 32-inch screen is a dream. It’s large enough to give me plenty of working space in Lightroom and Photoshop, and the clarity is excellent. No dead pixels. Text and icons are razor-sharp, and the screen is bright, vibrant, and consistent from edge to edge. Iâve also noticed no eye strain, even after long editing sessions, which is saying something. The eye care features (like reduced blue light and flicker-free display) definitely make a difference over time.Design & Setup:Setting it up was incredibly easy. No tools needed, and the ergonomic stand allows for height adjustment, tilt, and even pivoting to a vertical orientation, perfect for viewing full-length portraits or long web pages.Connectivity & Features:The USB-C port with 90W charging is a welcome addition, great for keeping devices like my laptop or iPhone charged while I work. I also appreciate the built-in KVM switch, which makes it easy to toggle between two systems with one keyboard and mouse. It keeps my desk cleaner and workflow smoother.Gaming Performance:While this isnât primarily a gaming monitor, I do enjoy some light multiplayer gaming on the side. The refresh rate is fast enough to keep up, and I havenât noticed any lag or ghosting. Itâs a solid performer even in that department.The One (Minor) Miss:I do wish I had opted for the version with built-in speakers. However, adding a Bluetooth or wired speaker was simple and not a dealbreaker by any means.Final Thoughts:This monitor is a huge step up from my previous 4-year-old display in every possible way, better colors, more screen real estate and faster connections.
