Easy way to dim
Was installing a wall sconce and dreading installing a new outlet and new dimmer switch as well- this was a good cheat.Plugged it in, along with a floor lamp on the other side of the couch, and voila- EZ remote dimming. It remembers the last setting too when you switch on.

Low quality switch
While this works- integrates with Alexa flawlessly, remote works from a distance/behind objects, dims and remembers your last brightness setting… the quality is not there. It buzzes loudly when set to one of its limited dim settings. And when turning off and on, it will flash to the brightest setting before lowering to the preset (there is also a delay before it actually turns on). I also have problems with the lights turning on at all when dimmed to the lowest–I have to occasionally switch it off and on a couple of times before it actually works. And lastly, the lowest dim setting does not dim the lights very low. I will probably replace with a higher quality switch in the near future

If you don’t mine dimming in steps it’s OK. Asked Rufus and it said it was smooth dimming. Other than thatit works fine and will keep me from getting up and down. Install easy!
