These are my now “Go To ” rack power strips that offers some sure protection and is priced right! Yes I also use expensive pro power products but sometimes I need a more budget friendly product and this fits the bill PERFECT!I have these units in a few Church installs and all look great, work great, and I have never had one fail on me!I’ll keep buying these units when I need some outlets in a rack and also sleep better at night knowing I have some surge protection.

Gets the job done
This is a simple but seemingly decent quality power conditioner. I installed it in a rack with band equipment. I have used other Star-Tech equipment over the years and has always been decent quality. This seems no different the Jacks all seem solid and it fit in the rack perfectly.

Does the job, sensitive rocker, one slot came ground nuked
Seems to sit and power just like intended. Seems well built. However, the rocker switch is weirdly sensitive and barely pushing bottom even without click will sever power. Do not hesitate and no problem, but I’ve never had a power strip rocker act like that.Second, it comes with many ports which is awesome but one of them closest to the powet input came ground locked. This usually happens when it has sustained some damage, as a piece of metal is literally blocking the ground port. Result is one less ground plug, the ungrounded prongs do work for no ground needed loads. Surely it’s just a defect on mine and they are not all that way.The indicator says it is still surge protecting so that makes me feel good.Good value for money esp. if you get a good switch and all ports!

Great PDU for home server racks.
This is PDU is a great addition to your server rack. The build quality feels very nice and it’s very sturdy. It fits inside of a standard 19″ server rack. The built in surge protection allows for peace of mind for any downstream power equipment. It has 8 total plugs so a large portion of your server rack equipment can be plugged into it.

While I think these plugs are overpriced, I still went back and bought a second one for my rack. They are sturdy, and they are easy to install. So far, they are working as expected. I used the two units to split the amp load between UPSs so neither one is carrying all that much current. On the surface, they appear well-made, but I have not opened them up to inspect the circuitry.

I needed a power strip for an additional rack of gear that I already had conditioned power available. I have always found StarTech products to be of good quality, so I thought I would give this a chance.Mine arrived in excellent condition, despite seeing that many reviews complain about damage in shipping. To be fair, the packaging could be more protective. The switch, sockets, and cables are all solid and I have had zero issues using this (turning it off and on) daily.

This is a great unit, glad to have purchased it. Two little things: the mounting ears were both slightly bent on arrival. Easily enough bent back prior to installation, but a little disappointing. Secondly, it would be nice if the unit arrived with mounting screws for my rack. Otherwise a good product at a reasonable price.
