Calibration is required separately for both two joysticks.
K1 for calibrating the joystick edge range;
K2 for calibrating the joystick center
Edge Range Calibration
Press K1, and when the LED light flashes continuously, move the joystick in a circle for at least three rounds, then press K1 again to finish the calibration.
Center Calibration
Manually move the joystick to the center position and simultaneously press the K2.
Complete Calibration
Both center and edge range calibration may affect each other, so you can alternate calibrations multiple times to achieve more accurate data.

Mus have upgrade for the Steam Deck OLED
I will tell you guys, this is a must have upgrade, period. Steam Deck sticks, as well as other controllers, will start to drift eventually. Hall effects still is the best thing ever happened to gaming scene to permanently prevent drifting plague. This kit is very very nice and IMO itâs better than competitors. Nicely packed, comes with decent tools, the sticks itself is very high quality and in my case, does not require any calibration at all. But if you do need, instructions is nice and clear. They also comes with pre-soldered touch wire so no soldering job is needed. Simply bold-on and play, cannot be more easier.Overall, high quality sticks, good included tools, good pricing and nice packaging. This kit cant be beaten!Love it so much!

Perfect Upgrade for the Steam Deck OLED
I am very pleased with this product. I did not have any major issues with my previous factory default OLED control sticks, but I did notice that they felt a bit loose (no other controller for any console I have used in the past had this design) and that there was a tiny bit of drift when setting my deadzones to much smaller. After switching to the tighter version of these hall effect sticks, the controls felt more natural and closer to what I am used to. Further, I can finally play first-person shooter (FPS) games with much greater precision and ease. Before, aiming in emulated FPS games was a bit tricky. Needless to say, this is a must have if you play FPS games or want improved aim and control in any game. After viewing the 5 minute video, installation was simple — just remove the back shell, unscrew six small screws, unlock the ribbons, swap out the sticks, reattach the ribbons correctly, re-screw, and calibrate. The video they reference covers the whole process. I was careful to use a grounding mat and all the right tools (which are also provided freely). Thanks, Handheld DIY! I am thrilled with my purchase of this product and will definitely recommend it to anyone with a Steam Deck as their first major, affordable upgrade.

Love the extra tension Hall Effect sticks
I’ve done many mods on handhelds before but this one was by far the easiest. First off, all of the tools you need are provided for you in the box. The most difficult part is removing the back plate off of the Steam Deck and that’s a breeze. There is a video online showing how to do the full install if you’re unfamiliar with how to remove it easily. After installing, the calibration tool in the system settings make it super easy to make sure the sticks are calibrated and centered correctly. First impressions, while playing a game, are that they feel great and the extra tension makes a big difference to me. This is not the first product I have bought from these guys and if they keep this up it definitely won’t be the last. Great sticks guys, keep up the great work.

Good replacement sticks
These are good replacement thumbsticks for the Steam Deck OLED. They look pretty similar to the stock sticks, and they feel pretty smooth too. You will need to make sure to use the calibration buttons on the sticks themselves so that you can get the full range of motion, but once you do they work as well as the stock sticks. The Dbrand thumbstick caps also fit beautifully on the sticks. If you are looking to do an upgrade for your Steam Deck OLED, this is a quick and easy one to do.

QA Coverage Could Be Stronger
came in and had perfect 0 deadzone but after 3 months of use the right joystick didn’t have drift but i did need to increase the deadzone since it looks like the right stick couldn’t sit at 0 anymore. maybe i just got a bad sample. who knows.

Any of these TMR sticks are going to be a great upgrade for the deck, this kit specifically had very high accuracy out of the box with very little deviation, these also do not require hardware calibration tools.I think the higher tension could be much higher, its very subtle. But it is appreciated.

Very happy with this product for my Steam Deck OLED. I had heard many reviews online about how the stock joysticks on the device were prone to drift over time, and I wanted to prevent that from happening. After browsing online and reading many reviews, I stumbled onto these ones. After reading up on these, checking how others felt about them, I felt like they would make a great upgrade over the stock joysticks. They arrived very well packaged, where each stick module was individually and securely protected in a sturdy foam to prevent shipping damage. Right out of the box, the quality of these sticks was obvious – they felt substantially high quality and a bit more “premium” compared to the originals. Swapping them into my OLED was a breeze. The fit was perfect and the whole process was quick and straightforward. I especially appreciated the simple calibration process – just two buttons on the back of each module made it quick and hassle-free, taking away all the guesswork. Even for novice tinkerers, I believe this process would be easy and stress-free. The difference in responsiveness is immediately noticeable. Games feel snappier and more precise, making a huge improvement over stock. I also appreciate the matte cap finish, which feels more comfortable and gives more grip than the glossy originals. If you are experiencing stick-drift on your original sticks, or just want a more premium gaming experience, I highly recommend this product!

This arrives as a great little package with everything you need except detailed instructions. the instructions are linked in a video via QR code and they are quite good except one thing : they do not highlight when things could go wrong. I was about to send the sticks back until I noticed the sticks were not sticking out of the steam deck, which made me realise the tension of the screws when putting them in was the culprit. easily fixed.the other thing that concerns me is that it appears steam OS has been updated since the video and it does nor do the same calibration etc things the video shows, though they work fine in games so for now its all good.

The right joystick won’t calibrate, if I am lucky enough to get it to calibrate then put the backplate back on, if I restart or shutdown then when it starts back up the joystick won’t calibrate and even trying using Konsole command to calibrate and checking in the settings in desktop mode don’t help. Defective piece of garbage. I should have gone with the other brand. I will return these and never buy this brand again!I have been building computers for almost 25 years so I know what I’m doing, I even triple checked everything and this is defective.

Like a lot of people who play a ton of games I worry about stick drift costing me an arm and a leg in repairs, so I was on the look out for Hall Effect sticks for my OLED Steam Deck. Fortunately, I haven’t experience any issues with my own sticks yet so mine remain safely in their box, but a friend also ordered these and since he knows even less about electronics than I do I helped him install them on his Deck.The package is really simple and comes in a small box which is great for storage. The instructions in the box are clear but if you lose them you can also find them online. With a little trepidation and a lot of care we were able to replace my friend’s sticks without too much stress and I’m confident I’ll be able to replace my own by myself when the time comes.Having all the small tools you need inside the box was an unexpected bonus, and now I’m more able to tackle small electronics repair tasks on other devices if they crop up! I really appreciate the simplicity of this product and the fact that the box is clean, has a clear label and so I’m able to leave it on a shelf without asking myself “what is this?” every couple of weeks.
