Even if you don’t think you need it, I highly recommend investing in a helmet and other safety equipment, especially for younger or less experienced riders. These additional expenses are worth it for the protection.The 350W motor provides ample power, allowing me to effortlessly tackle hills and reach speeds of up to 20 mph. It comes in a easy carry box (even though its 75+lbs) which made it easier to get upstairs. I will be repurchasing my replacement through them with the same bike in a different color. Great e-bike to ride around town or take on the trails – good price
After having this bike for over a year now, I can say it was one of the best Amazon purchases I have ever made. Overall the quality is decent. Spokes and brakes aren’t so great and definitely should be upgraded. I have had to true up the wheels once and the brakes are rather weak, and need to be beefed up. The front handle bar has come loose a few times, and have to be retightened excessively to keep it from wobbling. The battery life is pretty good and lasts me a couple of days of several mile rides. Speed is good – I get 20mph on flats, 30+ on the downhills, which is fun. Peddling is hardly required unless you are going uphill. I almost never touch the gearing, basically keep it in low gear at all times. The gear selector got somewhat tweaked and grinds against the chain if I go up too high in gears, but I am sure this my own fault for tossing the bike around.Some parts of good quality, some are pretty cheap and should be upgraded out of the box. The best part of it all was the price, so you get what you pay for. But definitely a great deal and the perfect beginner e-bike!
