Excellent, well-built UPS System! Great value for your money!
This review is for the Gitroso 1000va, 500W UPS System. I purchased this unit because I needed a compact 1000va UPS system that would fit inside a 16-1/2″ wide networking cabinet. This unit can be seated upright or lay flat on it’s back. I am using it to provide UPS power for an Arris S33 Modem, Arris W31 Router, Linksys Switch, which are all enclosed in a networking cabinet cooled by an AC Infinity Airplate T8 fan system. The Gitroso UPS also provides power to the AC Infinity cooling fan system. After charging the Gitroso UPS for a day, I tested it’s backup capability and found that it ran for about 2 – 1/2 hours, which was better than I expected. The system also has an AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) which acts as the first line of defense against voltage fluctuations. The AVR has Boost and Buck capability. If the voltage in your home drops to say 90 volts in a 120 volt system, the AVR will switch to the boost tap, increasing the voltage to maintain a 120 volt output. Or, if the voltage rises to 140 volts, the AVR will switch to the buck tap, reducing the voltage to keep the output at 120 volts. In the past, I always purchased APC systems, but couldn’t find one that fit into my networking cabinet. This unit fit perfectly and was priced well below the competition. The build quality is excellent and the LCD screen is excellent. No UPS systems in the price range have a color LCD screen. I highly recommend this unit for capability, price and value for your money. Note: the white cubes on the top of the Gitroso UPS are outlet blocks that I bought from Amazon to change the orientation of the outlet. Some of the power plugs on the modems and routers are huge. To get them fit into all the outlets you may need to change the orientation by 45 to 90 degrees. This is an issue with all UPS systems, regardless of name brand.

Disappointed.
Not reliable. Bought this power backup in Jan 2025 and have been using it for my aquarium since. We just lost power Jun 2025 and it lasted for 45 min before shutting off. Now my fish have no air supply adding to the water. What’s the point of a backup if its only good for a 45-min emergency??

Edit: This powered my 4 items for 2 hours and 50 minutes before the battery went to 1 bar and beeped. Probably could have gone another 30 minutes or so so honestly 3 hours for my laptop, 24 inch monitor with an ionizer built in and running, my router, and a DP/HDMI/type c dock all in one brick so 4 things plugged in! Give this a thumbs up and ignore the other people that don’t know anything about electronics smh lolI’m definitely satisfied and I would recommend it to anyone. The people who tried to hook a full ATX PC to this probably went over the wattage but I have 4 things plugged up that are about 150 to 180watts total load. 65w laptop, 65w router, and my 24 inch monitor is roughly 20 to 60w (has an air ionizer built into it) and then probably 15 or 30 more watts for my type C and USB dock with DP and HDMI.Running all 4 things perfectly fine! My entire “work” setup. Of course I’d never try and plug my gaming PC with a 650 watt power supply up to it bc it would surely just trip the built in breaker and shut off. As far as which one to get uhh no brainer get the 1000VA and you’ll be happy! And IGNORE all negative comments. It’s ran an hour just fine and the level hasn’t dropped 1 single bar. I work from home and needed a minimum of a 450va for 15 minutes of power, well I decided to get a really good one that would get me as close to a full 8hr day as possible and this is not disappointing!

Good Backup Power!
works well for keeping my devices running during power outages. Itâs easy to set up, and the battery backup kicks in smoothly when needed. So far, itâs been reliable, though Iâll see how long the battery lasts over time. Solid choice for basic backup power!

I bought the 500W version and did a test to see how long it would work as a backup since I do get a few power brownout from time to time but it only lasted 45 minutes until the low battery sound started beepeing. This was with a laptop and an extra desktop monitor connected, with only a combined power draw of 45watts combined. There is no this thing is a 500w UPS, maybe I got one with a defected battery but either way I have to return it.

Purchased a desk top gaming computer after years of using a laptop. And this works perfect to keep my pc up and running during power outages! Keeps it from getting shut off improperly when the power goes out. Great investment!

Gitroso UPS 1000VA 500W â Disappointing Performance
I regret buying the Gitroso UPS 1000VA 500W. When my power went out, instead of keeping my PC running, the UPS just shut off immediately. My PC isnât even over 500 watts, so thereâs no reason it shouldnât have handled it.I tried to save a little money by going with this brand, but that was a mistake. Itâs not reliable, and I should have spent the extra $20 on a better, more trusted brand. If you need a UPS that actually works during an outage, look elsewhere.
