Great value for the cost
My review is based on home use or use in a single location. I bought it for use in my home so I have no idea if it would travel well but I think that based on setting it up I see no reason why taking it down and setting it back up would be a problem. Set up is kind of intuitive except for the part that holds you music. Not that it is hard but it took a couple of tries to get it right. It is obvious when you do it wrong and I really did not look at the instructions that we Ok but honestly there is nothing that you really need instructions for and if I spent a few seconds to look at the holder I would have seen the right way. But most importantly the stand is very sturdy and better than my other two stands but a good margin. It cost a little bit more but the difference is significant. think the height is just fine but I can see if you like it really high it might be a problem. I do not have it at its maximum height but the markings for MAX is not more the a few inches into each tube so I think the bottom of the sheet holder at max would probably be 5 feet. So I think that the few dollars more that it costs was worth it and justified.

good for the price
Better than expected. Not as good as what’s in the orchestra pit, of course, but totally workable. Big/sturdy enough for a fake book. Tall enough for standing (bass). Stable and adjustments stay where you set them. Easy to break down and carry. Good value overall.

A sturdy stand
This stand is pretty sturdy. The shelf on the desk is 1 7/8″ deep. It’d be nice if the desk was a little wider (to hold 3 sheets of paper).

Sturdy and heavy
This music stand is made to last and take a beating. However, it is very heavy! I wish it was maybe three pounds lighter. Combined with carrying my guitar and my music and now the stand, I might need to get a wagon or something to carry it all! If you do not intend to take it to jam sessions and leave it assembled, you will like this music stand. But if you need to carry this frequently, to gigs and such, you might regret your purchase.

I bought this music stand for my 73 year old husband that just started Saxaphone lessons! It is strong, stable and very sturdy. It assembled very simply and when your done it dissassembles quickly and easily to fit in a great bag with a handle for taking with you to class. Wonderful purchase!
