Easy to install, nice results.
Since I was replacing an existing light, this only took about 20 to 30 minutes to install. The existing fixture wasn’t fully compatible so I had to make some cuts on the mounting bracket and also offset slightly lower, but the mounting base was bigger so there wasn’t any gaps.I used the same screws that held the existing fixture so didn’t need the ones that came with the light. I think a Philips screwdriver is all that would be needed because there was a small hex wrench included, but I use my own because the one included is an L shape (mounting up against the wall limits turning), it was easier for me to use a hand screwdriver with interchangeable bits.I already had the app installed so just needed to add this light. It didn’t find it automatically but manual install only took a minute. It was already linked with Alexa at that point. Note that in the picture with the light on, the stripes are a camera artifact, it’s actually quite evenly lit like the advertisement shows. As with their other lights, there are a lot of options and color effects.Good product. I also have their landscape lights for more than a year outdoors and they’ve been pretty reliable even after getting a bit of abuse from my gardening.

We absolutely love this light for our patio. Works well with Alexa so we always have light when we want it and it throws a surprising amount of light for how sleek it is. The dog appreciates the way the lights pivot so we can aim one out into the yard for her at night.

Ease of installation:I installed the XMCOSY+ dual-head outdoor light fixture at one of the furnished rentals I oversee, and it has delivered excellent performance in both looks and function. It was easy to install and took me about 30 minutes, but it could probably take you less time if you’re more experienced with turning off power breakers. The installation process was straightforward, and the WiFi app connected easily. Alexa integration also functioned smoothly as anticipated. I particularly appreciate the adjustable dual heads, which allow you to direct the light precisely where itâs needed. While the appâs automation features could use some simplification, once configured, the system remains reliable and responsive.Brightness:With a brightness of 1400 lumens, it more than adequately lights up an entryway, and the RGBCW color options provide versatile lighting choices, whether you want clarity, warmth, or decorative effects.Build quality:The waterproof design has stood up well to rain (it only rained once, though), and the fixture still maintains its sharp appearance.Value for money:Overall, this is an excellent choice for anyone looking to upgrade their porch or exterior lighting with smart controls and adjustable brightness. It delivers great value and a sleek, modern design.

Easy 3-wire hookup but you need to download another app
*** Update to Original Review***To their credit the company read my review and reached out to see if they could help and give me information based on my feedback.First – apparently you CAN change the light color through pushing the button on the housing and cycling through to get what you want. I didnt notice that so that’s a good update if you dont want to use the app or be stuck with cold white light.Second – they also let me know that their lights DO work with the SmartLife app (which is a much larger installed base and I have it already for some other products). That said, after using the XMCosy app it does work well and is intuitive and easy to use so I’ll probably keep using it for a while.As an update I did end up buying 2 more of these for outdoor locations and really like being able to set a timer, change colors/brightness and control multiple lights without putting in hardware switches at each location.Based on the pro-active company support and reaching out to clear up a couple of points for me, I’ve updated my rating from 4 to 5 and I would (did!) buy more from this company. Awesome.Moved into a new (old) house and almost all the outside fixtures are non-functional so I’m trying stuff out and replacing fixtures one at a time to find what I like. This is for a light by the side-door and is extremely dark without lightPros:- I like the design of this, squared off with movable light cubes.- LOTS of versatility with the app (colors, color scenes, various white light K settings etc.)- App allows scheduling by day, time, etc and this is exactly what I was looking for in outdoor lights.- EASY install, 3 wires, 4 screws and youre done.- easy to pair with the app- fair price if you’re interested in all the features (color, alexa integration, scheduling, etc)- bright enough at 100% and you can dim in the app- app (XMcosy) isnt bad at all and fairly intuitiveCons:- you’ll be downloading another app (XMcosy) to do *anything* with the light.- without the app (so just using the switch) it turns on 100% brightness at like 5000K color temp (cold white light)… and that’s it.I try out a number of connected products so I end up downloading a lot of apps… and my personal pet peeve is that every device has its own specific app that doesnt communicate with any other devices. They also all want access to location, network, bluetooth, etc which I understand is the tradeoff for a connected device but just fyi.That said… this app does work pretty well and it was easy and intuitive to setup scheduling for on/off, etc. I’ve also played around with color scenes and controls and it’s one of the easier apps to figure out without spending tons of time.Overall I’m pretty happy with how this turned out and I think I’ll order at least one more to replace the front door light and get things matching and on the same on/off schedule.
