Superior to Other Heated Throws.
This is just a great buy for me. I live in North Carolina in a 100-year-old bungalow, in the mountains, and our winter has been exceptionally cold. We our also undergoing a house project which creates many leaks. On cold days, our heat pump can only get up to 66 degress, and even with out little cast iron stove roaring and long underwear, it’s still fairly cold sitting in my recliner. Every year, I usually purchase another cheap electric throw. They don’t hold up to many washings, and the cheap ones make me feel restless and overheated if I leave them on for a while.So I bit the bullet and bought this slightly more expensive Beautyrest wrap throw. It’s great! Very high-quality, soft, fluffy fleece. The different technology means I can leave it on during a whole evening of TV watching and never experience electric “creepy-crawlies”. I never get too hot, even when I turn it up to high (although I usually find the medium setting just right.) I also like that the controls are large and easy to read. Sometimes I use this on my lap, too. The design allows me many variations of use. This has a safety device and will turn itself off. I must admit, however, that the antique age of my bungalow makes me super careful to turn off appliances, so I haven’t tested that automatic turn-off yet. My spouse and I had the bad viral cough and cold going around, and I just wrapped myself in this around my head and shoulders, used a regular throw on my lap. It felt great on head and shoulders and really soothing. I realized my arthritis is much better this winter despite the intense cold. Perhaps it’s this throw’s soothing heat? I have not yet washed it, so cannot comment on durability. Very detailed and complicated instructions included. I will probably wash by hand in the spring and line dry. Even if it breaks, this has been entirely worth it and I will buy another. The only downside is I did get a little tintinitis from the throw when I wrapped it around my head during my cold, but I get ringing in my ears from almost any electrical or electronic device. The ringing went away after my cold. I would also suggest the company create this throw in more colors and patterns. I prefer muted, solid colors for a throw, to blend with the patterns on my stuffed furniture.

Perfection! And I don’t say that lightly. I am a senior, and I have lupus among lots of other medical conditions. I bought this wrap because I get ice cold and have pain in which heat helps. This heated body wrap has helped greatly with both problems. This wrap gets warm, and I mean really warm when set on high. When sitting, it entirely wraps your upper body clear down to my knees, which I absolutely love! This wrap is also so soft and cozy that you literally never want to remove it. I haven’t washed it yet, so I cannot attest to how well it will hold up in that aspect…. but this wrap is well made so I expect it to hold up just fine.I’d like to add, that I’m a bigger person and this wrap has plenty of material and I can see how this wrap would easily fit a much larger person than myself. They didn’t chince out on the fabric that’s for sure!** I’d also like to add another side note to the manufacturer and to people who like to sew. One thing that would make this wrap perfect..would be to add button and loops to the part that splits down the middle as to be able to turn this into a lap blanket also. Maybe even a ribbon tie or two on the sides to keep it closer to your body. Just an idea that I plan on doing to my own wrap 😊

Died after one year. Contacted Beautyrest regarding the supposed 5-year warranty. They referred me to their manufacturer, who sent a list of hoops I could try to jump through.Garbage product? Landfill? YMMV
