Fun in the Sun –
Well worth the purchase price
I love this laptop! Works great, no problems at all. The screen is a nice size and it can get very bright. I usually keep the night light feature activated to cut out the blue light. I have the laptop up on a stand that raises it about 6-8 inches off of the table, and a separate Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. I can use the installed keyboard, but this setup works for me. We have a large kitchen table, and I’m able to just keep it there all the time. I can put the keyboard and mouse under the computer to get it out of the way, when I want a little more room. If we have company, it’s not a big deal to move it to another room. I have an older desktop that still works. I couldn’t install Windows 11 on it, so I switched to Linux. That’s fine, but I wanted something updated and portable. This computer is perfect for my purposes.I was a little concerned about the screen size. I am retired and use the laptop for the typical home things. Paying bills, keeping copies of important documents, watching videos, and writing an occasional email. I read the newspaper online and visit sites like Reddit. My eyes are not what they used to be, probably from so many years of looking at screens. Well, with Windows 11, it’s very easy to make any website text bigger. I could even have most things read to me, if I wanted to. The only thing I am not crazy about is the speaker. It’s loud enough, since I’m sitting right here next to it. But like most computers I’ve encountered, it’s not the best speaker. My experience is that it really needs to be hooked up to an external speaker to get the best sound quality. I haven’t experimented with that, so I can only assume the sound is pretty good, but nothing special. Everything loads quickly. No lag at all. That was something that was starting to bother me about my older computer. I believe I got that one in 2014, and had Windows 7, so it was definitely time for an upgrade. One feature I really appreciate is the type of cord and battery this laptop has. It uses the same charger as a cell phone, and it doesn’t hurt the battery life if I keep it plugged in all the time. I don’t know how new that sort of thing is on laptops, but it sure makes it nice to not have to worry about if I’ve let my battery run down enough to charge it again. All in all, this laptop was a great buy for me, and I am really enjoying having it for the last month. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is trying to decide if this is a quality item. You won’t regret buying this cute computer.

Excellent laptop and great price
I bought this laptop for my wife, who was frustrated using my very ancient Acer laptop, which is abominably slow to start and use. She is not especially tech-savvy and always afraid she will somehow make a mistake and screw up a computer. This laptop seems pretty sturdy and has not had a glitch even with an amateur hand on it. As time on Windows 10 is running out, one reason I bought this is for the Windows 11 feature. The old laptop cannot accommodate Windows 11. This NIMO laptop has 16Gb RAM and a 1 Tb hard drive. It is almost instantaneously-fast to start and use. It feels sturdy and sound. Thus far, it has performed without a hitch – no freezing up. The battery works effectively and lasts for a longer time than we need it because it is usually plugged into power. (I’ve only used it on battery power for about 3 hours so far and it worked great. It has a lot of “bells and whistles” and I have not used all of its many features, so I am still discovering its limits, and am very pleased with all the features it has. One surprising feature that I am impressed with is the “talk to text” ability, which is very accurate and fast. The price on this laptop was especially good and a consideration when I was researching PCs. I will probably but another NIMO laptop for myself before the end of Windows 10. My own laptop and desktop PCs encountered a major crash over a year ago and had to have major work done by the Geek Squad. So as it appears now, I’ll be looking to get another NIMO.

Solid Laptop for Most Computer Users
Update: After about two weeks the laptop begin having an annoying and problematic “flash” that occurred intermittently. I got with the Nimo folks via their chat and they said to return the laptop and a credit would be given after 3 days post return. It’s now 7 days after the confirmed UPS return and no credit yet. Two days ago Nimo support said they would escalate my return request and I would hear back in 48 hours. It’s now 48 hours later and their support is closed for the night. No credit given yet.So — I think this has the potential to be a decent computer at the $299.00 price point, but support seems to be lacking and the issue I had developed awfully soon after purchase. My seven year old HP Envy laptop has been making some strange noises and doing some other things that make me think it might be on it’s way out. So, I set off looking for a new laptop to take it’s placeI have been using a 15.6 inch laptop for many years, and tried out a couple of 14 inch units, but they were too small for my liking. My current computer was also a 2 in 1 touch screen that could be used as a tablet, but in seven years I had never used it in the tablet configuration and probably only used the touch screen for a hundred touches or so in that time frame.I finally decided I did not want a smaller unit than 15.6 inches and that having a touch screen was useless for my situation. After looking at hundreds of computers I settled on the Nimo 15.6 with 1TB SSD and 16MB ram. I read some reviews, thought the startup company was kind of cool, and loved the Nimo fish lighted logo on the front of the computer. Here’s the things I love about the computer.1. Packed well and shipped fast2. Lighted keyboard, which was an essential feature for me3. Great feel to the keyboard. Quiet and types solidly.4. Choice of colors. I chose the Space Grey and it’s nice looking.5. USB C power source6. Windows 11 Home preinstalled7. Very little bloatware8. Beautiful anti glare screen with full HDIs this the fastest computer I tested? Nope, but it didn’t cost $700.00 either. I thought the Amazon price of $299.00 was an absolute steal for this computer. Best value laptop I have purchased so far, and this is laptop #4 for me.I can’t attest to the durability of the Nimo computer, but they have a two year warranty (best in the industry that I could tell) and I am hoping to not have to use it.So — if you need a basic, quick, non-touchscreen laptop at 15.6 inches I feel this is the best bargain on the block.
